Chapter 14: What When and Why

After the group escaped to a safe area, they patiently awaited the girl to regain her consciousness. Nekro being the impatient idiot that he is, ran off. Treading water, seeing as he can't swim, he occasionally ran back to the ship to regain his stamina. Kaya sat next to the girl waiting patiently reading her book as always. Pando stood atop the sail and gulped down an inhuman amount of rum from his flask. Tsuyoi continued launching fireballs into the air for fun, and to see if he could make them bigger. "Ya know, there are other thing besides training." Nekro said having come back to the ship once again. "Ya know, there are other things besides women." Tsuyoi said shutting him up with a slight "Ha!" Being heard from the back from Pando. The green haired girl slowly opened her eyes. "Where am I?" She said softly. "You're safe now, thanks to three idiots and me." Kaya said smiling softly. "Did someone say idiot?" Nekro said speeding into the room. "You, you're the one who saved me, aren't you." She said looking over at Nekro. "Heh, I guess you could say that." He said standing up straight to look more heroic. "Don't get a big head." Kaya said smacking Nekro in the back of his head. "Fiiine." Nekro said rolling his eyes. "Anyway, what's your name?" Kaya asked looking back over at the little girl. "I-I don't remember." She said looking down. "Well do you know a house or street corner we could drop you off at or somethin-" Pando said being cut off by Kaya while Nekro held back his laugh. "The only thing I remember is being locked up by those men." She said referring to her pursuers. "Well, what do we call you?" Kaya asked pushing Pando out of the room. "I-I dunno." She said looking around to think. "How bout Vert?" Nekro said speaking out suddenly. "Why? Cuz it kinda sounds like Verde, which is green in Spanish?" Kaya said looking to Nekro with an eyebrow raised. "Nah, just cuz she's quiet, and kinda seems like an introvert." Nekro said sound smart for once. "Anyway, you should rest up." Kaya said leaving the room dragging Nekro by his hood. When they had made it back to the deck Kaya smacked Nekro from the back of his head. "Why!?" Nekro said holding the area in pain. "For smacking my ass you perv." She said sitting back down in her chair. "Not my fault you have a nice ass." Nekro said running off. Tsuyoi now has already evolved his fireball making to legitimate flamethrowers from his hands. "Theoretically, now I may be able to fly." Tsuyoi said looking up. "Do you wanna set my ship on fire?" Pando said from the steering wheel. "Right!" Tsuyoi said clapping. Just then Tsuyoi lept off the boat and shot straight up into the sky. "I can't steer!" Tsuyoi said flying around in figure eights and such. "Idiots." Kaya said opening her book.
