nicknames and the ice cream man

Classes ended smoothly for my second day at school.

And by smoothly, I meant three pop quizzes and one oral presentation that I swore I failed.

Hoseok waited for me as I put away my books in my bag.

"Joonie, can I call you Joonie?"

"Hobi, you already did. I don't mind though."

Hoseok grinned and I swear I saw his face light up.

"So bright."

"Sorry, did you say something?"

"Hm? Nothing!"

"Oooookkaaayyy. Let's go then! Jin and Yoongi are waiting for us."

We went out of the classroom and we saw Seokjin and Yoongi standing by their lockers. They were talking when we approached the two sixth graders.

"Yoongi, we should go to that new ice cream shop down the road."

"I don't really care where we'll go, Jin. But you better treat me. I'm sacrificing precious sleep because of this."

"Yoongi, you slept all throughout our classes."

"Still tired though."

Seokjin rolled his eyes and turned to me and Hoseok.

"Hey guys, wanna go that new ice cream shop? It'll be fun!"

"I'm in, Jinnie-hyung!"

Hoseok screamed as he raised his arms and grinned.

"What about you, Namjoon?"

"Uh, I guess."

Seokjin then smiled and grabbed my hand leading towards the door.

"Let's go!"

Hoseok ran after us squealing while Yoongi followed us, yawning.

We eventually arrived at the ice cream shop and my companions (except Yoongi who was probably sleep walking) rushed to the door and to the counter.

"Woah! Jin- hyung, there's a lot of flavors!"

"They all look so gooooodd!"

I approached Seokjin and Hoseok while Yoongi went to find us a seat. Hoseok leaned over the counter to find something, or someone.

"Hellooo??"

Just then, a well-built man came out the back room and smiled at us. He went to the counter and asked.

"What can I get you, boys?"

"Strawberry Swirl for me please!"

"Crème Brulee for me!"

The man gave Hoseok and Seokjin their orders and paid.

"Ah, son! I'm glad you brought your friends."

I smiled at the man over the counter and replied.
