thunderstorms, family dinners, and blackouts

The wind howled and hollered outside his bedroom window, making the glass tremble and open. Namjoon woke up to the sound, and was greeted with a dark a sky and a cold gush of wind. He got up, moving his long legs over the bed and trudged towards the window, closing it.

As he was about to close the glass, he saw Jin across him, having his friend's room right across his. Jin smiled at him and greeted him, "Hey Joonie."

The wind was strong, however, Namjoon could hear Jin's voice loud and clear. "Hey, Jin-hyung. Good morning."

"Too bad it's about to rain, huh?"

"Yeah, but I like the rainy weather. Makes me want to stay in bed all day."

Jin chuckled, his dimples showing, "Yeah, that sounds great. I like how the bedsheets feel especially when it's raining outside."

Namjoon was about to respond when lightning flashed and the thunder rolled, making their houses shake by the impact.

"Oh by the way, school called, saying that classes are suspended. I have to go update the school's Facebook page. Talk to you later, Joonie."

Jin waved goodbye and closed his window, leaving Namjoon stare at his neighbor's closed window. Jin became the school's student council president when they reached their third year at high school. This improvement however, made Jin spend less time with his friends, but he tries anyway.

Namjoon went to the living room to chill and saw Taehyung and Jimin playing scrabble on the floor. The twins looked up to see their beloved hyung by the stairs, still clad in his pajamas.

"Nice Ryan PJ's you got there, hyung." Taehyung said as he beat Jimin with the word 'diarrhea'. His twin mumbled about stupid board games and words as he put away their game.

"Have you guys eaten yet?" Namjoon asked his brothers as he sat on the couch. "Yeah, Mom and Dad left to go grocery shopping by the way." Jimin said as he got up to get a glass of water for himself. 

"I hope they come home safe. Jin-hyung said that classes are suspended. Must be a storm."

Jimin came back from the kitchen and handed Namjoon his heated breakfast, "Eat up, hyung. We're gonna play inside all day." The older smiled warmly at his brother and ruffled Jimin's hair, "Thank you, Chim."

The three enjoyed themselves in the living room after Namjoon ate. They were playing snakes and ladders when Eomma and Appa Kim burst in holding shopping bags.

Taehyung got up and helped his aunt and uncle, "Let me help you." Jimin and Namjoon followed after him and took the remaining bags out of the car.

"Ah, the road is so dangerous around this time. I hope nobody gets into an accident. I'll go call Yerin and inform her." Eomma Kim declared as she went to give Jin, Hoseok and Jungkook's mother a call.

The boys and Appa Kim went to arrange the groceries and Jimin found himself a pudding in the process. "Eeehh, no fair, Chim! Gimme some."

The twins fought over the pudding when Appa Kim pushed them away and gave Taehyung another pudding cup, "There, everybody gets a share."

"Thanks, Appa!" Taehyung beamed and said sorry to his twin. The two went back to the living room while Namjoon and Appa Kim finished their task.

"Well, Yerin and her kids are coming over tonight for dinner." By Eomma Kim's statement, the twins shouted in joy. "YEAAAHHHH, KOOKIE'S COMING OVER!!!"

The elders chuckled and the twins went to Taehyung's bedroom to probably shout at Jugkook's window (their bedrooms are also across each other's). Minutes later, they could hear Taehyung shouting out of his window.
