"Hey."

I wasn't interested in making friends that day. Being the new kid sucks.

"You're the new kid, right?"

"Woah, your beanie's really cool!"

"Can we sit with you?"

"Hey hey, I saw you move in last week! Your house is right next to mine!"

Huh? One of these annoying kids is my neighbor?

I looked up and saw your pretty smile. I was mesmerized by how your eyes twinkled and shone like they held the stars in the sky. I noticed your lush lips and how red they are. You're really pretty.

"Pretty?"

Wait. What?

"Did you just say that I'm pretty?"

I did?

I refused to look you in the eye, I was too embarassed. I didn't know that I just said that out loud.

And then, I heard it.

You laughed.

And laughed.

And laughed.

Until you were clutching your stomach and slapping the poor sleepy boy standing beside you.

I felt my face heat up. Your laugh sounded angelic yet mischievous at the same time. And then, you stopped and turned to me.

"My name's Kim Seokjin. What's yours?"

My name? You're asking for my name?

"Yeah, dumb dumb. I wanna be friends with you."

Oh crap, I just said that out loud again.

"Uhh, my name's Kim Namjoon."

You smiled at me and you held out your hand.

"Well, it's nice to finally know your name, Namjoon."

I nodded and shook Seokjin's hand. God, they're so soft. It's like touching cotton.

"You have really soft hands."

Seokjin grinned and put his finger on his lips.

"Ssshh don't say that out loud."

"Why?"

"I'll blow my cover!"

"Cover? What cover?"

What is he talking about?

The sleepy boy, who was present trough the whole ordeal, looked at me and spoke.

"Seokjin here likes to fool people into thinking that he's a girl and not a boy."

"Huh? But why?"

"Because I like it. Fooling people into thinking that I'm a girl is fun and seeing their shocked faces is hilarious. Oh, and that's Yoongi by the way."

Said sleepy boy just nodded and lazily raised his hand to greet me.

After a few minutes of talking with Seokjin and looking at Yoongi (to make sure he's not sleeping standing up), another person ran towards our table in the cafeteria and slammed his hands as he panted short breaths.

"Hey, Hobi. You're late."

"Late?! I was looking for you guys throughout the whole school. You left me on the second floor with the sixth graders!"

"Woah, chill Hobi. We just forgot okay?"

"Forgot? Forgot?! How dare?! How dare you forget about me you pieces of--- oh wait, who's this?"

The enraged boy now looked at me and squinted his eyes at me.

"Hi, I'm Kim Namjoon. I'm new."

"And he's now our friend. Eat, Hobi."

Seokjin said as he shoved a sandwich in front of Hobi's mouth, the boy taking a bite and chewing happily, seeming to forget about the dilemma earlier.

We spent lunch period talking about the things we have in common. Turns out that Hoseok, Hobi's real name, and Yoongi liked rap music as much as I do.

"My sister says that I'm too young to listen to rap. Stop listening to that music, Hobi, you're still ten!"

Hobi said as he imitated a high pitched voice, earning a laugh from Seokjin and a roll of the eyes from Yoongi.

"Ugh, your sister's missing out."

Yoongi replies as he sipped on his Sunburst tetra.

Hoseok then rambled on about how great rap is and that he's planning to make a mixtape one day with me and Yoongi.

"My rapper name will be J-Hope because I will be the hope of every one who listens to my music!"

He said with a matching thump in the chest and a fist bump in the air.

"Ha, more like J-Horse."

Seokjin said jokingly as he threw a fry at Hoseok who was twirling in his seat. He was ignored though. Hoseok kept shrieking at how awesome his rapper name is.

"Well what about you, Yoongi?"

"Agust D."

"Cool. Why Agust D?

"Just 'cause."

"Oh, okay then."

"What about you, Namjoon?"

"I don't know. Rap Monster, I guess?"

"Cool. I like it."

Hoseok was successfully dragged back down by Seokjin and we all continued talking. I learned that Seokjin and Yoongi were both in sixth grade and Hoseok and I were both in fifth grade.

"Guess I should call you, hyung, Seokjin-hyung."

"What about me?"

"You too, Yoongi-hyung."

"More like Yoongi-ahjussi. 'Cause you're a grandpa! Waahahaaha!"

Hoseok laughed and clapped his hands while Yoongi just stared at him with a bored expression.

"Tsk, kids these days have no manners."

He said in a monotone.

Seokjin laughed and held his stomach. Weirdly enough, he sounded like a windshield wiper.

"Oh my god! You're Grandpa Yoongs from now on!"

Yoongi just stared at Seokjin and Hoseok while the two kept on laughing hysterically.

"Guess you're the only sane person here, Joon."

"Yeah, I think so too."

Then, the lunch bell rang, signalling the end of lunch period.

"Hey, Namjoon! Let's head home together after class!"

I heard Seokjin shout as the sea of people engulfed him and Yoongi as we separated ways. Hoseok just grabbed my hand and led us to our next class.
