Chapter 2

Nicole's POV:
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I turned it off and I just realized its Friday. I get out of bed and I get ready. It's January so it's really cold out.
My outfit:
Grey long sleeve shirt
Black skinny jeans
Black combat boots

I go downstairs and just eat cereal with milk. I found a note from my parents
Dear Nicole,
Your dad and I has moved to California. We are never coming back. Take care of your brother and we will pay for the house you are living in. You could say you have no parents anymore because you don't since we are never coming back. Take care of yourself and no don't call to ask who your older brother is because we will never tell you.
Love Mom and Dad (a.k.a not your parents anymore)
Reading this made me feel sick. See how my parents don't care about me! How am I suppose to take care of my younger brother if I'm busy all the time!
"ISAAC!" I yell
"Yes " he says
"Mom and dad are not our parents anymore they moved to California so yea that's all. Walk yourself to school like you always do or take the bus because I am leaving right now ok! Bye" I say
"We don't have p-parents anymore?" My brother says
"Sorry bud goodbye I have to go to school" I say
"Bye big sis, at least I have you" Isaac says sad. I leave the front door and I start walking to school. My parents never cared for me, they just wanted kids for attention. I got snapped out of my thoughts from someone.
"Hi Nicole!" Matt says walking next to me
"Hey" I say giving a weak smile
"What's wrong?" Matt asks
"Well, do you really want to know" I say
"Yea! I've always wanted to know a lot about you! Like yesterday I could tell something was wrong when that car came to the driveway of your house" Matt says.
"Ok well I woke up this morning and I got this note from my parents" I say handing him the note as he read. When he finished his mouth was wide open
"Your not even 18 am I right?" Matt asks. I nod my head.
"That's sick! What kind of parent does that" Matt says
" I don't know but how am I suppose to take care of my brother if I'm completely busy all the time. And plus I don't know how to use a stove and things like that! I'm only 15 left with a 10 year old" I say
"My mom can take care of your brother" Matt says
"No I don't want to cause any trouble for your family but thanks anyway" I say
"I'm serious! My mom loves kids" Matt says
"You sure?" I say
"Positive" Matt says smiling
"Thanks so much!" I say giving him a hug.
"What are you doing today" Matt asks.
"Well I go to my cheer practice where I can tumble and get things off my mind then after I have to go to my friends dance recital, then I have to go home and do homework and then I do nothing." I say
"Oh!" Matt says as we get to school.
"I'm completely lost in here can you help me" Matt asks.
"Yeah sure what class are you in right now" I ask as Matt looks at his paper
"English with Ms. R" Matt says
"Your in my class ! Where's your locker cause ya know your stuff" I ask
"It's number 345" Matt says
"Ok follow me!" I say showing him his locker.
"That's your locker and mine is right next to yours" I say unlocking my locker and putting my stuff away and grabbing my English things.
"Ready" I ask
"Yeah let's go you take the lead because I will get us lost and by that I mean I'll get lost then you'll have to find us an-" I cut Matt off
"I get the point" I say giggling as Matt follows me to class.

~skipping school~

I was going to walk home and I see Matt waiting for me.
"How was your new school" I ask
" it's better than my old school cause everyone knew that I was in magcon but in this school barely no one knows who I am just like 3 girls that's all" Matt says
"And I am one of those 3 girls" I say
"Actually you aren't because you didn't fan girl when you saw me or ask for pictures and things like that. Only 3 girls did that and you didn't sooo ya" Matt says
"Yea but I'm still a fan" I say
"Maybe you are and maybe you aren't" Matt says smirking
"I'll prove it, look at my camera roll on my phone" I say handing him my phone
"Holy shit" Matt says scrolling
"Told ya" I say smirking
"Why didn't you fan girl then?" Matt says handing me back my phone
"Because I-" I got cut off from my phone ringing.
"It's a blocked number probably a prank but whatever I'll answer it anyways" I say answering the phone
"Hello?" I ask
"Is this Nicole Lacerda" the person says
"Yeah look if this is a prank call I don't want to listen to what your going to say" I say
"This isn't a prank ok! I am your older brother but I want to still keep you surprised" the person says

Unknown older brother POV:
I was finally talking to my little sister!
"How do I know your not lying" Nicole says
"I am not lying please believe in me!" I say
"What's your name" Nicole says
"I'm not going to tell you! Listen I know that mom and dad moved to California and I know that they told you lies about me! I did not ditch the family they moved away and I had to live on my own when I was 15! That was 4 years ago. I knew they didn't care for me anyways. And let me give you 1 hint of me. I am famous. Don't think I'm Austin mahone or whatever but I am famous. Think about who I am. Goodbye Nicole" I say hanging up

Nicole's POV:
I can't believe that my older brother called me. And I know it was him because of what he told me about my parents told me that they moved and blah blah blah.
"Who was it" Matt asks
"M-my older brother?" I say coming out more as a question
"But you don't know who he is" Matt says
"He didn't tell me what his name was but he told me these things that I know that he's my older brother" I say
"Lets just change the subject ya know" Matt says
"Wait but he also gave me a hint about him. He's famous matt! He's famous! This is going to be harder than I thought." I say
"What if it's someone from magcon" Matt says
"Be serious!" I say
"I am!!!!" Matt says
"OHHH yeah. But I doubt it. No one is from cana-" I stopped when I almost said that.
"Shawn?" I say thinking
"Probably lets call him!" Matt says and we are home.
"Wait come inside my house" I say getting him inside.

Matts POV:
I called shawn as soon as I got to Nicole's house
"Hey Matt" Shawn says
"Do you have a little sister that doesn't know who you are?" I ask
"No I don't why?" Shawn asks.
"Ok so I moved to Canada then I went to my new neighbor and she doesn't know who her older brother is and I just realized that your 15 and I don't think that you are her older brother so why should I tell you this ok goodbye" I say hanging up
"It's not him because he's your age" I say
"Yeah my brother is 19 cause he said 4 years ago he was 15 and yeah" Nicole says
"Think of a Canadian that's famous" I say. I think and think and think
"Justin bieber he's Canadian he's 19 and he's famous" I say
"I don't think Justin Bieber would be my brother" Nicole says.
"Then I don't know who" I say giving up
"Whatever I don't care anymore" Nicole says as the door opens.
"IM HOME!!" A little boy says
"Yeah I know now" Nicole says
"Who's that boy?" That little boy says
"Oh it's just my friend Matt. Oh and that's Isaac my little brother" Nicole says.
"Hi I'm Matt" I say
"IM ISAAC!" Isaac says
"Ok so ignore him " Nicole says
"Nicole I want to ask you something" I say
"What is it?" Nicole says
"Do you want to go on the magcon tour with me?" I ask
"Uhmm"
