Chapter 17

Nicole's POV:

She turned around and it was Alicia.
"What?" I say
"Guess what I'm not the only person here" Alicia says as another girl comes. I dropped my mouth opened.
"I get what I want and you did not want me to be your friend so I could get closer to your brother" my enemy says
"I don't even know your name!" I say
"Megan" Megan says
"JUST LET ME GO!" I say
"Oh don't worry we will" Alicia says
"Right after you give us what we want" Megan says
"What do you guys want!" I say
"I want shawn" Alicia says. I rolled my eyes.
"Like that's gonna happen!" I say
"Yeah and if it doesn't your gonna get hurt and maybe die" Alicia says smirking.
"I don't care!" I say. I get slapped across the face.
"Don't yell" Alicia says
"Alicia if you never cheated on shawn maybe you would have been with him. But you blew your chance and now I am with him" I say
"And if you never existed I would have shawn" Alicia says getting out a gun.
"I'll be back by tomorrow and if you try to escape then one of my guards will hurt you" Alicia says as she leaves with Megan. But before she left she duct taped my mouth. I started crying. I need shawn.

Shawn's POV:

I hid and saw Alicia and another girl come out. I was so mad that Alicia was behind all of this. I then heard crying. It was Nicole. But how am I suppose to get her if there are guards. Maybe I should dress up all black. I find some black clothes and put them on. I then walked.
"One of us needs to watch her" the guy says
"I will" I say in a manly voice as I go in. I see Nicole tied up. I cried quietly. I took off the duct tape.
"What?" Nicole snaps. I go near her.
"Get away from me!" She says. I take off my black face thing.
"I came here to save you" I whispered.
"For gods sake your sick!" Nicole says
"Don't worry Just a little dizzy" I say.
"Shawn stop! Your gonna get even more dizzy!" Nicole says. I untied her.
"We are gonna have to jump out" I say
"Shawn!" Nicole says
"I know what I am doing!" I say. I open the window. It was like 2 feet jump.
"It's not that bad" I say
"I go first because I need to catch you if you pass out" Nicole says jumping out. I then jumped out. I felt so dizzy right now. I think I'm gonna pass out. I was walking very slow. We finally got in the car and Nicole drives the car.
"I feel like I'm gonna pass out" I say groaning.
"Shawn we are almost home!" Nicole says. She finally parks. We go inside. We went upstairs. I laid on her bed. She was gonna leave but I stopped her.
"Nicole stay with me" I say. She went in bed with me.
"I'm scared. They are gonna come back and I know it" Nicole says.
"I'm here" I say wrapping my arms around her and kissing her forehead.
"Get some rest shawn" Nicole says.
"No" I say
"Please I'm already safe in your arms" Nicole says.
"Fine unless you sleep too" I say
"Okay I'm tired anyways" Nicole says. She turns the other way. I wrap my arms around her.
"Face me" I whisper in her ear. She turns to me and hugs me. I then felt much more better and I closed my eyes. I fell asleep.

~next morning~

I woke up and I didn't move. I heard light snores coming from Nicole. We were still in the position we were in yesterday night. I sighed in relief. I simply felt a note on my forehead. I took it off and looked at it. It said:

Why do you have to be so strong? I tried getting Nicole but you wouldn't simply let go. But today I will get her. And you won't see her ever again. Oh and by the way since I couldn't get her out I simply abused her. I scratched her and punched her. But she didn't wake up. But I will come..

I was freaking out. I can't believe it. I just saved Nicole in my sleep! But it isn't over yet so I shouldn't be glad. I gently unwrapped my arms around Nicole and gently placed her arms on the bed. I went to the bathroom to do my business. I still felt a little dizzy. After I was done I washed my hands and went back in bed. I just stared at the ceiling. I then felt something on my cheek and saw Nicole kissing my cheek.
"Goodmorning" I say.
"Shawn I feel pain all over me" Nicole says. I remembered the note and I showed it to Nicole.
"Oh my how is that possible! Your body is basically asleep" Nicole says. I shrugged. Nicole turned away to do who knows what. I grabbed her waist and scooted her closer to me.
"Hey!" Nicole snaps. I turned Nicole around and kissed her.
"Wait yesterday Matt left and he said he was coming back in 1 hour and he never came back" Nicole says getting up.
"Are you serious you leave the bed!" I say whining.
"Shawn I need to see if Matt is okay!" Nicole says.
"Just call him I don't want you to leave!" I say.
"Fine!" Nicole says. Nicole calls him but it went straight to voicemail.
"Shawn stay he-" I cut her off.
"No I'm coming!" I say standing up and walking downstairs. I got dizzy and I tripped.
"Shawn!" Nicole says running downstairs. She helped me get up.
"Don't walk fast okay?" Nicole says as I nod. Nicole gets her jacket then she gets mine and gives it to me. We put on our shoes and walked outside. It was snowing.
"It's so cold!" I say as I grabbed Nicole's hand and put them in my pocket without letting go of her hands.
"Wow your hands are so cold" I say. We walked and I stumbled a little bit. I felt like the world was spinning around me.
"Shawn are you okay?" Nicole asks.
"Yes I'm fine" I say as Nicole rings the doorbell. Mrs. Espinosa answers
"Hi Nicole have you seen Matt?" Mrs. Espinosa asks.
"Actually we came here to see if Matt was here" Nicole says
"Oh I'm so worried!" Mrs. Espinosa says
"Don't be!" I say
"Nicole you haven't came in a while. Did you forget about your brother?" Mrs. Espinosa asks.
"Shit!" Nicole mumbles.
"I'm guessing you did. But it's fine. He's been a joy!" Mrs. Espinosa says
"Do you mind if you let him live with you? I'm kind of busy all the time" Nicole says
"Of course! I've always wanted to watch a little kid ever since Matt grew. Now I can!" Mrs. Espinosa says
"Thank you! I'll try to find Matt for you" Nicole says as mrs Espinosa thanked her and we started walking back to Nicole's house.
"Since when are you busy?" I say poking her red nose.
"Since I um am lazy to take care of kids" Nicole says as we laugh. We walked inside her warm house. I started coughing and my throat started to hurt.
"Shawn your getting so sick!" Nicole says
"I'm fine" I say. Nicole gave me a hug. I picked her up.
"Shawn put me down. Your gonna get dizzy" Nicole says.
"No I am not" I say. I started to feel a little dizzy. I put Nicole down. I got a bad headache. I grabbed my forehead.
"Shawn I'm sorry!" Nicole says.
"No it's not your fault. You warned me I should have listened" I say sitting down on the couch. Nicole went in the kitchen and came back with water and Advil.
"Take it" Nicole says as I nod and I drink the pills. I felt so tired. But I had to stay awake for Nicole's cause.
"Shawn you seem tired" Nicole says.
"But I am not" I lie.
"Okay" Nicole says sitting on the couch and turning on the tv. I saw how she looked cold. She rubbed her hands together.
"Nicole come over here" I say. She comes closer to me.
"Yes" she asks.
"Lay down with me" I say as she lies on my chest. I grabbed her hands and put them in my hoodies pocket. I kissed the side of her forehead. All of a sudden the door opened. It was Alicia.
"I took Matt and if you don't let me have shawn I will kill him" Alicia says. I looked at Nicole. She looked like she didn't know what to do.
"What's your choice?" Alicia asks. I looked at Nicole again. She needs to do the right thing and save Matt. I gave her pick the Matt look.
"You can have shawn" Nicole says as a lot of tears came out of her eyes.
"Well shawn you can come with me" Alicia says. I grabbed Nicole's hands. I gave her a passionate kiss as I was taken away by Alicia. As we got inside the car I then knew what to do. I punched Alicia and she was knocked out. I called the police. They came right away. They the found Matt and brought him back to our house. After Alicia got arrested I went to Nicole's house. She wasn't in the living room but I did hear lots of noises. I went upstairs. The most noise came from her room. I opened it to see her under the pillow crying. I went to her and gave her a hug. I didn't let go.
"S-shawn?" Nicole says.
"It's okay I'm here. Alicia got arrested" I say. Nicole gave me a hug. We never let go. We finally let go.
"I thought I was gonna lose you forever" Nicole says resting her forehead on mine.
"Nicole have you noticed that we haven't fought?" I say
"Yeah and I like it" Nicole says as she kisses me.
"Shawn get some rest. You still are sick" Nicole says.
"Can you stay!" I say
"Nope!" Nicole says
"Please?" I ask.
"No im gonna distract you from you sleeping!" Nicole says but before I could say anything she shuts the door. I mean I have nothing to worry about. After all Alicia is arrested. I fell asleep.
