Chapter 7

A/n
So guys I have decided to make this book a bit shorter then what I wanted it to be because this book is really just character building but it will still have as many dramione moments as I can fit with out making it weird. There should be about another 10 chapters roughly but you guy will understand why I want to start the next book. Love you all. Oh and by the way In the next chapter I am skipping it to Christmas then to roughly about the end of the year.

Draco's P.O.V
Nearly a semester had gone by and Christmas was nearing which means the Malfoy family ball we be coming up. Which finally I get to pick my own date for the ball.

I know who just to take to the ball.

Hermione.

Her name brings butterflies to my stomach as soon as I hear it. Her laugh alone is music to my ears. Being able to role play as her boyfriend was the most thrilling moment in my life.

*Flashback*
Draco's P.O.V
We got back from charms class laughing. The look on Potters and the weasel's face was priceless. Especially it was going amazingly until pansy piped "Wait are you two in a relationship," I knew it was out of complete curiosity. "No were not just a small role play but if any Gryffindors or any other house ask we are Ok," Hermione said with a few giggles here an there which was so adorable.

Something in me felt broken when she said the word role play I hope one day we will be more then friends.

*end of flashback*

Draco's P.O.V
The flashback played in my mind like it happened yesterday. The way she laughed and how she shrugged pansy off. I just hope one day in the near she will like me back.

Hermione's P.O.V
I went up to my room to talk to Pansy before dinner.

"Hey Pans apparently there is a Malfoy Christmas ball nearing," this is what Blaise said to me anyway. "Oh yeah I know I God to hope Theo asks me he is adorable," pansy said staring off into space.

I laughed and she finally noticed her slip up and she groaned "did I really just say that." I nodded at her complaint I found it funny.

"I know you wish Draco would ask you," Pansy said smirking devilish at me. I groaned and threw a pillow at her "I do not I am not as whipped as you are," I said causing Pansy to fake a hurt expression.

I laughed at her and she sighed "Blaise said he wasn't going something about going to the manor his parents bought in Hawaii as it has good weather something along those lines," I said trying to recall what he said to me.

Pansy gaped at me and said "that evil Butthead why I can't we go with him i expect us to go with him when we are in third year otherwise I will rip his godamn head off," she exclaimed to me. I laughed at the thought of Blaise being headless.

She laughed clearly thinking of what a headless Blaise would look like that was until our two dorm mates asked what we were laughing at "Blaise headless," I managed to stifle until I fell into fit of laughter again.

The two girls looked at each other shaking their heads at us saying "You two really are the weirdest people I have ever met."

Astoria's P.O.V
I was thinking about the Malfoy family ball and that the Greengrasses were invited I instantly hoped that Draco would ask me.

If not then Blaise but then again Blaise isn't going so I guess it is only Draco then. The thing is I know that he will not ask me he will ask Hermione it is all to obvious but I think they are cute together anyway. Pucey is pretty good looking and I know he is going so maybe.

Theo would be nice too but I have got to know him and he has the hots for Pansy so hopefully Pucey asks me.

I hear someone calling my name from down in the common room I get out of my nice warm green and silver bedsheets and haul down the stairs to be met with the eyes of Adrian Pucey.

"Hey Astoria I thought you were not going to hear me for a second," Pucey states quite nervous. "It's Puce I just need to know what you want," I said quite worriedly at him.

He gulped and finally let the words fall from his mouth "Astoria will you go to the Malfoy ball with me during Christmas as you know I'm invited and I heard that you were too so will you?" He asked I could see the worry in his eyes begin to build when I didn't reply.

"Of course I will thank you for asking," I said while smiling at him. Everything left his eyes worry, nervousness and was replaced with pure happiness. I laughed at him and he hugged me and then walked up my stairs.

"Ooooo what got you so happy," Hermione asked clearly wanting to know. "You know Adrian we'll be May or may not have asked me to the Malfoy Christmas ball," I stated matter if factly.

Pansy squealed and ran up to hug me. "At least someone has asked you," pansy said happy and sad at the same time. I looked at her with sympathy and said to the both of them "You are two of the prettiest girls in our year someone will ask you unless they are complete prats who have no taste," Hermione laughed at my comment knowing exactly who I was referring too.

"Yeah that would make them complete prats I have to go speak to Draco bye guys," Hermione said waving to us.

Hermione's P.O.V
I went down stairs to the common room where Draco was sitting down reading a book. "Hey Draco have you noticed that the Gryffindorks are acting kind of stealthy these days I want to find out what they are trying to hide you in."
