Ainsley P.O.V

I let myself take in the woman before me. She was slightly tall with dark brown hair and some white hairs. She had the most beautiful hazel eyes I had ever seen. She had a nice slim body for her age, and is really pretty. Yet, if she claims to be the alphas mother then she is a werewolf, and doesn't age as fast. Just tell me why I couldn't decipher her damn smell? It was bugging the crap out of me!

I didn't want to trust her straight away, but something inside me told me it was okay to trust her. I felt a connection to her. I don't know how or why, but I felt like I could tell her anything. And there's also the fact I needed her for Adeline's welfare.

I didn't realize I was no longer in the protective stance but just standing in all fours looking straight ahead in front of Ady. I bet I looked pretty stupid. My mind was brought back to reality with her suddenly clearing her throat, and I shook my thoughts away as I turned to look at her.

"Can you shift?" she said looking at me intently. "Even though I should, I won't turn you in. I promise I wont hurt you. You have nothing to fear of me. I just want to talk about why you are trespassing." She finished off saying it like if she also wanted to know more. And I was gladly going to tell her, even though I probably shouldn't.

I wanted to tell her firstly because right now is not the time to be picky about anything, my sister is dying and I needed to help her. Secondly because she actually seemed really nice, and she wasn't going to turn me in even though I'm a rogue. So that's, that. There was just one tiny, winy problem. I ripped my only clothes to shreds. Even though she was a woman I still didn't like to portray myself to every single person out there. I motioned my head over my body hoping she would catch on to what I was trying to tell her.

Fortunately for me the woman was smart. "Oh right, here." She took off her long jacket and handed it to me. "Sorry." She said sheepishly.

I went behind a tree to change, and when I came back I found the lady softly cradling Adeline in her arms. She had a shocked expression as she examined her, but no traces of surprise.

I quickly ran towards her and was about to tell her to back off but she put her arm in front as if to tell me to stop. Right like that's going to stop me, I thought. But then I thought she's not harming her she looked like she was trying to help her. And I remembered that I was looking for a pack member anyway.

"How did this happen?" she asked with a worried tone. Not making a move to get away from her just looking at her and putting a hand to my sister's forehead. The only proof she was still alive was the rising of her chest up and down. Other than that, she looked like a corpse.

"Look I will explain everything that has happened to us, and why we're trespassing, but I need you to help her. She's my sister." I said as tears were being too fabricated in my eyes. "Can we go somewhere else?" I knew she would help us, and by the way she was looking at her I could also tell she knew how to help her.

She turned to look at me. "Of course. I will send for someone to come pick us up. They will take us to the pack house, and I can work on her there. I know what she has, and I haven't seen anyone with these symptoms in years. But I can fix her." She said determined.

"No." I said my tone not rude but firm. "You said you wouldn't turn us in." even though I knew she wasn't going to I still didn't want to see a pack. My mind was still in panic over alpha James and he would be doing anything in his power to get me back. Including calling other alphas. Plus I didn't want to stay here anyway.
