With a knowing grin, Jasper said that we'd meet Georgie and his friends outside the tent as soon as we finished removing our makeup. The three kids left and as the tent flap closes back, I glared at my BFF.

"What? They seem nice, and that Jake guy's kinda cute. I think Georgie was looking at you." "If I end up eating either one of them, I'm blaming you." "You're not gonna end up eating them. I still remember my part of the deal." I sighed before walking back to my mirror while grabbing my makeup remover wipes.

"Would you pop out those stupid contacts already? Our fans await." I rolled my eyes as I carefully pop out my contacts and shut hem inside my solution before looking at my reflection, pure and natural.

Mom says I inherited most of my physical traits from my dad, I wouldn't know that since I've never seen him before. Anyway, I have a neat bob of short wavy hair that's bright red like it's been died but it's completely natural, my eyes are dark green except when I'm about to eat a kid, then they go burnt orange and my prefect pearl teeth turn into short sharp fangs. My skin's really pale, though I have nothing against going outside, and my body's extremely fit. Which is only natural since I like to chase my snacks. Little kids never freeze with fear, they're annoying that way.

I gently fluffed my curls before turning to look at Jasper. Her hair's naturally long and wavy, black as a raven's wing, her eyes are golden-brown and Lucifer's her precious kitty friend. He also held a secret of his own, one that I don't have the liberty to share. Yet.

Speaking of the critter, he shook his clown collar off and hopped obediently into his indigo cat crake, meowing loudly. "Don't start Lucifer, we'll be home soon enough." She said before shutting the door and locking the latch. We both smoothed down our average shirt and jeans before going to the front.

After meeting up with George and his friends, we started walking around town. I can already tell Jake has a thing for Jasper but I don't say anything since I'm talking to George.

"S-so, Lu-Lucy. Wh-what do y-y-you like to do?" I smiled at his stammering voice, it's so adorable. "I like the darkness and the shadows, and places that are wet and damp. There's something about filth that makes me feel at peace." His blue eyes go wide, it takes him a second to reply. "What are your favorite things?" I smiled slightly with a secret joy.

"Balloons. And spiders." I kneel down to glance at a large black one in the grass beside me. It creeps carefully onto my palm and I look into it's beady black eyes while it looks into mine. For a brief moment, my eyes flashed a new color and it doesn't try to bite. I ran a finger down its tiny backside as I turn my attention to Jasper and Jake.

"Why do you have that cat with you? What's his name?" "Lucifer. He came into my life a few years back and we've been closer then close ever since." Jake bent forward to look inside the crate, Lucifer hissed sharply, swiping at the bars. Jake jumped back.

"Damn, if that cat was a human, I'd say he's jealous of you." Jasper smiled secretly. "Something like that." I giggle softly to myself, aware of something only Jasper and I knew.
