Thoughts of a Patriotic

They say they are going to invade us

They say they're gonna come fast

They say they are going to take over

And destroy us with a bomb blast

To a peaceful country they descend this threat

For I've been taught not to hurt or kill

With adults panicing and children crying

I've got to protect them if no one else will

Not quite adult, to make the decision yet

But there like me ready to enlist

We are enlisted anyway, what else can they do?

Let us protect our country, I insist

Gruesome fighting in the battle field

I am watching a nightmare unfold

I want to give up but i think

Who'll protect my country then?and try to be bold
