"It's a tad...I don't know. It feels like it's missing something, like the whole outfit is too small." Velvet spoke from the other side of a changing door, and Coco sat with a mountain of clothes next to her, flipping though them. "Do we really have to try them all on?"

"Sometimes you get surprised by what works and what doesn't. Come on then, let's see it." Coco turned from the mound and looked towards the changing door as it swung open. Velvet came out awkwardly with her arms around her waist and Coco looked her over.

Their most recent outfit from the 'yet-to-try-on' pile was a long-sleeved brown jacket that cut off above her stomach. Below was a matching pair of brown and gold shorts and brown shoes at her feet. She shifted uncomfortably as Coco furrowed her brow while she analyzed the outfit.

"Move your arms, it's hard to tell if the outfit is good or not if you just look uncomfortable wearing it." Coco motioned with her hand and Velvet slowly lowered her arms to her sides and turned red. "I suppose you're right, that is an awful lot of skin showing, and given the reactions earlier..." She trailed off and peeked down into the pile.

"This doesn't seem like it would do very good outside if it's gets colder out either. I wish I just had something to cover up a little more." Velvet was looking down at her stomach and bare legs before she was blinded by a shirt that hit her in the face. She pulled the shirt down and went to object before she was hit with another equally black and equally thin pair of leggings.

"Try those underneath, it'll cover your skin and hopefully provide at least a little warmth. We can probably put a little bit of armor on the feet, those shoes just aren't working either." Coco shrugged and went back to the mound of clothes, trying to pick out something for herself. She'd already decided to replace her entire style that she'd come to beacon with.

So far Coco had picked out a long sleeved brown sweater top of her own, a black waist cincher, and at least a few dozens belts and straps. She had a theme in mind for a lot of her equipment, and even had picked out a black handbag to replace the box she'd been lugging around for her weapon storage. The only things she still needed were a new pair of pants, some new boots since spikes were out, and a good degree of accessories.

She found a small black pin-on piece of fabric she could use as a sort of half-a-skirt and had just dug out an amazing pair of black pants from the pile, with plenty of pockets and zip-offs at the knees, when Velvet came back out of the changing room. Aside from her hands and head, her skin had all been covered by a thin black fabric with the leggings and shirt she'd put on. All in all it brought the outfit together, and Coco let out a whistle in approval. Velvet turned red and looked at the floor.

"We'll work on getting a handful of protective items, probably something for your wrists and shoulders where they won't restrict your mobility elsewhere, and put those on later. For now I think I just finished gathering something that'll work for me, and we can head out to try and find the boys." Coco stood, leaving the mountain of clothes they'd gone through next to the mountain they wouldn't, picked up a pair of high heeled black leather boots, and brought Velvet to the registers.

They wore their new outfits out, and Coco trashed their old ones without mercy. Velvet hesitated and argued about keeping her old one, but Coco merely dragged her along, and Velvet's protest ended shortly after.

"I can only imagine where they went off too. They don't seem like the social type...nor do I imagine they're big into fashion." Coco glanced around the streets of the city. It was definitely different than the island of Signal. Vale had plenty more shops for everything from clothes, to food, weaponry to books, and anything in between. She wondered if perhaps the two had gone off to a weapons store.
