Chapter 16

"Good morning, Alaina" I heard Andrej say as I slowly woke up.

"Good morning" I said sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Your phone has been bleeping all morning by the way" he said nodding towards my phone on the bedside table.

I picked it up and saw I had 9 missed calls and 7 new messages.

4 calls and 2 texts from Nash. 3 calls and 3 texts from Cam and 2 calls and 2 texts from Kacey.

Cam:

I just heard what has happened. I am so sorry! He is such a fucking dick! I won't let him forget what he has done. Xx

Alaina answer your phone. Xx

Alaina where are you? Xx

Kacey:

Cam is really angry with Nash, he burst his lip. He deserved it. Scum bag. Xoxo

"Alaina where are you? We are really worried xoxo

Nash:

Alaina, it wasn't what it looked like. I would never hurt you please believe me.

Alaina where are you? Answer your phone.

I decided to reply to Cam, ignoring Nash completely.

Hey Cam. I'm sorry I never answer last night, I needed to think. I stayed at Andrej's room. I met him last night. I will be back later. ily. Tell Kacey that too xo

I locked my phone and went into the bathroom to freshen up.

I looked into the mirror and saw my blood shot eyes and smudged mascara. I looked like a mess.
I cleaned myself up and threw my hair in to a pony tail.

I walked into the living room to see Andrej sitting by his suitcase.

"You leaving?" I asked

"Yeah. My flight leaves this afternoon. I'm going to Paris"

"Wow! Paris! That would be amazing! I would love to go" I exclaimed

"Then come with me" he said stepping closer to me.

"What? Andrej I can't go to Paris! That's crazy"

"So what if it is? Who wants to live a boring life? I know we just met but please come?" He asked hopefully.

Paris. Wow. I would love to go but would I just be running away from my problems?

"Andrej, I have to go back. Thank you for" I said wrapping my arms around his neck and heading to the door.

"Bye Alaina"

"Bye Andrej" I said stepping out into the empty hall.

"The plane leaves at 3pm" he shouted as I closed the door behind me.

I can't go to Paris. It would be crazy.

I stopped outside our hotel room and took a deep breath before entering.

Kacey and Cam were sitting on the couch but when they both saw me they jumped up and embraced me in a tight hug.

"I'm so sorry babe" I heard Kacey whisper in my ear.

"Alaina.." I heard him say from across the room. I pulled away from the others and looked at Nash. His eyes were red and his lip was bruised. He looked so hurt. I just wanted to hold him but then I remembered him with her and only anger and betrayal filled me up inside.

I couldn't look at him anymore. I walked straight past him into the bedroom and laid down on the bed.

I wish I could go back to when it was just me and Finn. It was all so simple then.

I laid on the bed just thinking for a few hours until someone came into the room.

"Alaina, we need to talk" he said quietly

"Speak." I said bluntly

"It wasn't what it looked like. She kissed me. I would never hurt you! Please believe me!" He pleaded coming closer to the bed.

"Yeah sure" I scoffed " just get out !" I shouted pointing to the door.

He did as I said and left without a word.

I know what I need to do now.

NASH'S P.O.V

I left the hotel room and walked down to the pool, sitting on the edge letting my feet soak in the water.

I wish she believed me. That girl followed me. She kissed me. Alaina walked in at the wrong time. She never heard me tell the girl to leave. She never heard me tell her what I was about to do for Alaina.

I took the blue leather box out of my pocket, opening it up and looking at the ring. It was a promise ring. I was going to give it to Alaina last night.

It's a promise ring. It means forever. We are forever. That will never change.

I jumped up and ran back to the hotel room. I flung open the bedroom door to see Alaina sitting on the floor piling her things into her suitcase.

"What are you doing?" I asked confused

"I'm leaving" she said without looking at me.

"Leaving? Where are you going?"

"I'm going to Paris"
