Who does he think he is?

He thinks he can scare me like that?!

Just because he is powerful he thinks he can get his way around?!

It was getting dark as I walked down the street after buying groceries. I look up to see the sky, which was clear a few hours ago, beginning to cover with clouds.

What is this? If it starts raining I don't know what I'll do! I don't even have an umbrella!

My car decided to break down. Surprise surprise! As soon as I reached home and now this.

As I turn towards the residential block, the street became lonely. My residence was in the suburb which was usually a quiet place. Not a very good place to stay, I know. As soon as I have enough money I will shift in the the main city area. There were only a few houses around. Separated by unused plots of land, overgrown with wild grass and bushes.

I looked at the time to see it was post 6 pm. It was oddly calm, just like  before the storm. Then slowly I felt the wind starting to blow and gaining strength. I still had about 2 block to go down.

I clutched the grocery bags tightly and pick up pace. I hear the leaves rustling and my feet crunch the dead ones beneath. I stop as I lose hold of one of the handles of the bag. Settling it, I notice the rustling was becoming louder and the leaves were crunched. I freeze momentarily, I knew the sound, it could only be made by someone walking. I don't recollect seeing any one behind me and the fact that it stopped after barely two steps bothered me.

I slowly take my phone out and open the front camera, pretending to just check my face. I sneakily try to look behind me through it and see no one there.

Maybe it was nothing, or maybe it was  some stray cat or something.

I take a deep breath and start walking again. I think of the new wedding project at hand. There was a lot of work to be done and not much time left. No matter how much I hate him, I need to co operate with Mr. Smirky Pants in order to save my job and career. I vaguely remember seeing him in the paper.

I feel a slight shiver and compose myself. So far I didn't hear any one behind and this time I tried my best to avoid all the leaves.

Then it happened.

First on my hand I felt the drop, then when I looked up it fell in my eye.

Darn!

I hold the bags close to my chest and start running. As I make it to the sharp turn I bump into someone and fall down.

"Oh my! Are you okay?" I hear a female voice ask.

"Yes, I am fine. Are you okay?" I say looking at the spilt vegetables on the pavement, now soaking in the rain. I remove the hair from my eyes and look up to see a girl about my age, she had bight blue eyes or is it lilac? And dark brunette hair. She looked familiar but I couldn't pin point who.

She gets up quickly and offers her hand. "I am quite fine, but you look dazed." She smiles.

I take her hand and get up, we were both quite wet by now and she pulls me under the shed of a near by window.

I kept staring at my ruined food and she follows my gaze to it. "I am so sorry." She apologises pursing her lips.

"Ah, please don't say sorry. Its not your fault." I say giving a slight smile.
