*Gina's POV*

I laugh slightly.

"What?" Rydel asks confused.

"Oh. You weren't kidding?" I ask, moving a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Um no," she giggles. "It's obvious you like Ross, but then again, you and Riker know each other a bit more."

"Rydel," I place my hands on her shoulders. "I don't like Riker and I just met Ross yesterday."

"So in time you will like Ross?" She smirks.

"Oh my god!" I laugh and face palm myself.

"Just need to know the facts," she giggles.

"Well, sure Ross is cute, but I don't know him," I shrug.

"Come on," she tugs my wrists and pulls me out of her room.

"Do you think you can stop pulling me by my wrist everywhere?" I laugh.

"It's only for important things," she says. "Ross!"

"What?!" He screams across the house.

"Come upstairs to your room!" She screams over the railing.

"Ugh!" Ross groans as he marches up the stairs. He looks up and sees me staring at him. I tear my eyes away from his stare and blush. "What do you want Rydel?"

"You and Gina are going to get to know each other well," she smirks. Ross's eyes widen and Rydel shakes her head quickly. "Not in that way! You're such a perv!" Rydel smacks his arm.

Ross blushes and looks down.

I manage to let out a giggle.

Rydel shoves me and Ross into his room. "Talk to each other! I'm coming back in a few minutes," she says before closing the door.

"She can be annoying sometimes," Ross collapses onto his bed.

"Eh, she is cool though. She would be a great sister. Well that's only my opinion," I say.

Ross nods and looks at me. "I'm a jerk. I'm sitting here while you're standing. Here. Sit," he scoots over and pats the open spot next to him.

I walk over and sit down. "Thanks. So I guess I'm supposed to get to know you," I say.

"Well, one thing is that I have a match maker for a sister," he chuckles as I giggle along with him. "But what do you actually want to know?"

"Um, whose bed is that," I point to the empty bed that's next to Ross's.

"Oh. That's Ryland's. We share a room," he says. "So about you. What's your favorite color?" He asks me.

"Blue. What about yours?"

"Yellow," he smiles.

"Is that you?" I ask, pointing to a picture of a small boy with messy blonde hair, a gigantic smile with crooked and missing teeth, and a blue shirt on. I look at Ross to see him blushing.

"Uh yeah," he says.

I look at his smile and notice how genuine it is. You can tell it wasn't a forced smile. His smile just makes me want to turn the corners of my lips upwards.

"You were literally the cutest thing ever!" I giggle as Ross blushes with a small smile. "What happened?" I raise an eyebrow.

Ross's face drops and he knits his eyebrows together.

I drop the serious face and start laughing. "Kidding!"

"So you still think I'm cute?" He smirks.

"Is this a trick question?" I smile.

"Nope. I think you have to answer it," he says with a devious face.

Before I can answer, the door opens, revealing Rydel. Thank god. She saved me!

"Everything ok?" She asks. I can tell she is looking at how close the two of us are together.

"Yeah. I think I have to head home though," I stand up.

"That means I am taking you home," Ross says.

"Let's go then," I walk towards his door. "Bye Rydel," I hug her quickly and rush down the stairs. As I am walking towards the front door, I pass Riker. "Hey Rik," I smile.

"Hey Gina," he says back to me, but not with the same attitude he had talked in when I first met him. "Where are you going?"

"Oh, Ross is taking me home," I say. And at that, his face completely sinks.

"Ok. I guess I will see you later," he walks away.

I shrug at his peculiar attitude.

"Come on," Ross pushes me out of the door.

We get to his car and I hop in as he gets on the other side. He backs out and drives towards my house.

"We should still get to know each other. So I know you're in a band called R5 with your siblings and this so called Ellington, and you're on a show called Austin and Ally. Anything else?" I ask.

"I was in this movie called Teen Beach Movie. Also Disney related," he says.

"Disney boy eh? Are you as innocent as I assume they portray you to be?" I ask him.

"Hah! Nooooo!" He laughs. "You have no idea!"

"I can imagine you being a perv," I smirk.

"That lifts my spirits," he chuckles. "Anyways, anything about you I should know?"

"Well, this is really personal, but I'm going to tell you anyway. My mom passed two years ago."

There is a long pause between us until Ross finally says something. "I'm so sorry. That must be hard."

"Losing my mom? Yes, but not as hard as some things."

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"I will explain it if we become closer, because right now, it's something too personal for me to talk about with someone I barely know," I sigh.

"I understand," he nods his head as he pulls into my driveway. "I'll see you later Gina."

"See you later," I step out of his car and walk up to my front door. I open the door and a strong scent hits me

Alcohol.
