*Ross's POV*
I look down at her slim body which is being wrapped around by my arms.
"What are you-" she giggles.
"Sh," I whisper as I stare into her vibrant blue eyes. "Can I ask you something?" I look down. I play with the back of her shirt with my hands. Why am I so nervous about this?
She nods her head.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask. After she doesn't say anything for a few seconds, I start to panic. SHE IS GOING TO SAY NO! Ugh! I'm so stupid!
Then, she smiles. "Of course."
I let a deep breath out as I sigh in relief. "Oh thank goodness."
She giggles as I pull her close to me. I move the wet strands of hair that are falling over her eyes to behind her ears.
"Never would have thought someone famous like you would want someone like...well, me," she looks down at the water.
I lift her chin up with my thumb. "First of all I'm not famous, and second of all, you're amazing," I whisper quietly.
Her cheeks turn red as tomatoes. I look at the sky and realize it's getting dark. "Look at the stars," I smile, removing my arm from Gina to point at the stars.
Gina looks up and her face drops. "It's already dark? I-I-I have to go," she scrambles out of my arms and swims to shore.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"Just take me home. Please," her eyes plead.
"Okay, fine," I chase after her.
We hop out of the water and I start to shiver. I look up at Gina to see her sprinting through trees.
"Slow down!" I yell, running. I arrive at the car to see Gina standing there, shaking. I don't know if it's from what's bothering her or how how cold it is, but either way, I don't like it.
I unlock the car and Gina and I hop in.
"Please hurry," she begs.
"I'm going," I shift the gear so it clicks to drive and pull out. "Wait. What's bothering you?"
"It's nothing really," she shakes her head.
"It's not nothing," I say. I pause and think for a minute. "Does it have anything to do with the thing you were going to tell me a few weeks ago? Remember you said you would tell me if we got closer? And from what I can see, we are closer."
She sighs and looks at me with teary eyes. "I-I-I don't feel comfortable telling you yet. I'm sorry. Soon though. I promise."
I push the hurt feelings aside and continue driving. We pull up to her house and before she opens the door, I grab her arm.
"What?" She asks frantically.
I lean over and smash my lips into hers. At first she seems stunned, but then she kisses back. After a few seconds, I pull away, knowing she has to go. "Text me or call me if anything is wrong," I say as she steps out of the car. I watch as her small body makes it to her door. She turns back to look at me and gives me a small smile with a wave.
Then she opens the door, and steps inside.
