As Fairy Tail continued their fight against Hydra Head in the final battle, one particular individual was watching the proceedings.. one who had remained silent ever since his loss against Touma Kamijou years and years ago... one who had been forgotten perhaps.. but not completely so..
Zeref stood in in the streets of the city, and watched the large screen over a building displaying the battles, silent and not speaking.
His gaze was particularly focused on Natsu Dragneel..
"So.. Natsu.. you've grown stronger.. much stronger than me.." Zeref murmured. "Wonderful.."
"Hurry! The match is about to start!"
"I know I know! Two Please!"
Zeref gave a start, and then stared as Tatsu Dragneel and Miyoko Misaka passed him and began purchasing ice cream from a Spirit Vendor.
"What's the next match?" Tatsu asked.
"I think Gray's fighting next. " said Miyoko. "Julia's got some cheerleading outfits to cheer him on!"
"Ya going to join in?" said Tatsu.
"Nah! Seriously, can you picture ME in a cheer leading outfit?"
Tatsu suddenly blushed, his jaw opening slightly. "Uh... do it.."
"Wait what!?" said Miyoko.
"DO THE CHEERLEADING THING!!"
"Excuse me.." Zeref said, strolling forward. "But.. have I met you two before..?"
Miyoko and Tatsu stared at Zeref with confusion.
"Er... not really." said Miyoko. "you a friend of Mama?
"Your mother?" said Zeref.
"Her.." said Miyoko, pointing at Mikoto on the giant screen.
Zeref's eyes widened in astonishment. "A-and you? Do you also resemble your father or mother?"
"Yeah.. I guess I look a bit like Dad.." said Tatsu. "Natsu Dragneel! You friends with him too?"
Zeref smiled and a tear trickled down his cheek. "Well.. in a manner of speaking.. "
"Oh? Now.. this is quite strange.."
Frieza floated down from the air, his arms folded ever so casually, smirking slightly. "Here I was allowed to leave the arena as my match was over.. and what do I find? a handsome man.. with quite a thirst quenching secret.. ohohohoho..."

"The next match.. is Gray Fullbuster, vs Androidia!" said Horus. "if the contestants would make their ways to the center of the arena.."
"Guess I'm up.." said Gray. "hey.. Mikoto.. you alright?"
Mikoto nodded quietly. She paused a little.. then looked up at Gray, then looked at Natsu.
"It's time.." said Mikoto.
Natsu blinked. "Ehhhh?"
"You know Natsu.. that Final Measure." said Mikoto. "To return to our start.."
Natsu's eyes widened. "N-no way.. "
"You serious about this Mikoto!?" Gray exclaimed.
"I am.." said Mikoto. "Which means I need some place quiet.. and I need you Natsu."
