The figure's hand started to glow blue as he slowly advanced towards Matthew. Matthew, frozen in fear began to stutter, "wha, who...who...," that was as far as he got before the figure reached him. The ghostly figure touched Matthew's chest with his glowing hand and Matthew felt a strange sense of warmth. Matthew blinked and suddenly the figure wasn't there anymore.
Matthew stared for a bit, then slowly walked back to his room and closed the door. The door squeaked causing Matthew to jump. Matthew recovered and laid down on his bed again, but it would be a while before sleep would finally overtake him.
