PERSONALITY: A sharp-witted and a free spirited girl. Shinhye is neverendingly chatty and expansive, but at the same time, unbelievably sanguine and reliable. Her buoyancy is inextinguishable, which leads to her seemingly always dynamic and infrequently fatigued because of her behavior. Her humor at times can be very unpleasant and acrimonious when she tries cracking a joke in the worst situations, but overall her good jokes cause a positive laughing response. However, her primary vulnerability lies within the sight of others sentimental, which is why she cannot be often found shedding tears or sulking, but will be the one to lend support to others who are emotionally unstable. She is stubbornly adventurous, and is willing to take risks whether it results good or bad.
BACKGROUND: As her place of birth being in Shanghai, China, Shinhye didn't have many options on traveling out of her country or city. She was born into a rather normal family, which was built up of her mother and father, and her elder brother. Because of this being unable to move around a lot, she found a substitute for that and instead spent most of her time outdoors doing something beneficial for her, even if it wouldn't be of any use in the future. As long as she had the opportunity to get out of her home and try out new things, she was happy and satisfied with what she got. Of course, she dragged along her brother to do these things with her. Shinhye's family moved to Canada when she was 14, which meant she had to be educated there for a few years. After finishing 9th grade, they all moved back to China after being in Canada for 2 years. Due to her brother's endless whinings and desparate pleads to move to South Korea, her parents reluctantly agreed and when Shinhye was 18, they had already settled in Korea. She never planned on training to become a k-pop idol, but after her brother claimed he'd want her by his side and giving her a pep-talk along with detailed reasoning and a lot of convincing, she eventually agreed and followed alongside of him.
