BACKGROUND: In the states, she had always loved singing and being up on stage. plays, musicals, speeches, she did it all. At first, she didn't get the support from her parents, as they wanted her to pursue something more "rewarding" such as medicine or law. But kimberly's passion took over and she finally proved to her parents that she was capable of succeeding. In long beach, or America in general, there weren't many opportunities for asian american artists to get a job in the entertainment industry. And believe me she tried. audition, after audition, she failed to earn spots in tv shows, and sign with record labels. So the next thing was to move to Korea, where she knew that it was actually possible for her as an asian to pursue music.
