BACKGROUND: Being an only child, her parents often set high expectations for her, like she set for herself. She was always among the top 3 in her class. Although their life was decent in China, they though "why not move somewhere for a change and spice up life?" so they decided to move to Seoul when Jiemin was 10. They took some time to adjust to the life and culture, but really enjoyed it. Haebyeol never missed an opportunity when she saw one. Once she saw that Wild Ent. was having auditions, she immediately went for it. Determined to be the best, she practiced very hard for the audition, continuing to do so after she was accepted.
