Our family

First visit

A week later everything with Callie had blown over. She gets along with Mariana and Jesus now. She also looks so is out for Mariana at school.
It's a Saturday morning, the three kids are sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast. Lena is home with the kids and Stef is at work.
"So Jesus, Mariana, are you excited you get to see your mama today?" Lena wondered
"Sí Lena." Jesus replied with a smile
Mariana just shrugged, "Posible." (A/N posible is possible in Spanish)
Stef came home for lunch and to stay with Callie while Lena took the twins to their visit with their mom.
Upon arriving at social services, Lena stayed in the waiting room while a social worker escorted the twins to a room to wait for their mother. A few minutes later, Ana arrived and Jesus ran and hugged her.
"Mamá, are you okay?" Jesus asked his mother
"I'm fine, buddy." Ana replied as she hugged him back. She extended her arms to Mariana, who reluctantly hugged her, "How are you, sweet girl?"
Mariana didn't want to admit it, but she had missed her mother. She was actually happy to see her.
"Arroz con leche." Mariana requested
"You want me to sing?" Ana inquired. When the little girl nodded, Ana sang the song that her daughter had asked for.
