This is how the competition will work.

Basically, you all will enter and send me titles. I will hold a random drawing to determine who gets which title. No one will get a title they themselves submitted.

Then, you will have one month to complete your story. Yes, it's a short time, but it's summer. I have faith in you.

You must PM me your description within a week. You are free to make changes (just let me know) but I must have at least of rough draft of the description soon to let voting commence. It is to your advantage to submit it earlier.

During this one month's time, you may collect votes on the description which will be posted on this contest's story. Feel free to advertise your story to your fans - but only where it is okay to advertise! (i.e. Your own message board, stories, or profile.) I will post the description of each story on The Titling Challenge 2014.  To vote, leave a comment on the desired description's page. Do not vote for it there; it will not be counted. The reason is that I don't want to have someone else's hard-earned votes on my profile as if they're mine because it's not fair to them.

Each story will then be judged by two people - myself, and one of the other judges. Unless there is huge disagreement between the two scores (in which case the two judges will discuss and reach an agreement), the final score will be an average of the two.

Sound doable? Then what are we waiting for? Why don't you enter? *insert friendly, welcoming smile here*

After the contest is over, I will post a list of titles and their creators. That way, all you Titlers out there will get the recognition you deserve. If, for some reason you don't want this recognition, tell me when you send the title, and it will remain anonymous.

If by some chance there is a tie, I could hold a tiebreaker if both parties are interested. They would write to the same new title. However, both parties would be awarded based on their original score regardless.
