Heather and Stephanie were both trying to make Mae’s hair look nicely as they put it in special braid. They had seen the picture on Internet and saw a turtorial of how to do it. Turned out it took one hour just to make it perfect, but the result was worth it. Her brown hair started like a French braid, but at the end, the tail was rolled up.
After that, they attacked her make up. They started and did small green shadows to fit with the dress and my eyes. They took a red lipstick. Mae started to try and argue with them, but it was pointless… They finished and ended a mirror to Mae. She was stunned. It seemed like she was looking at a totaly different girl throught that mirror. Her jaw dropped and she from the mirror to her sisters. Heather and Stephanie smiled satisfied of the result and Mae’s reaction obviously. Then was the time for the dress. She took it off the envelopp of plastic it stayed in after her trip to Montreal. She carefully got her clothes of started putting it on. She pulled it up until in finally laid on her shoulders. Heather zipped it to the top. Mae looked at herself into the mirror again. She had the same reaction than the first time and she smiled thinking of how sweet was Harry that day. After the 3 hours of preparation, she was finally ready and she headed to the living room where her parents and Jessica were waiting. her dad stood up with a smile on his face. Her mom looked at her and her jaw dropped as she let a ‘wow’ escape from her mouth. Jessica simply smile as a full smile. It was the first time since the accident and seeing her face lit up again helped Mae. She let the photo session pass and waited for Helen to arrive so they could go since it was time now. She checked her phone and saw a 3 texts. 1 from Helen saying she was coming and 2 from Harry. He asked for a photo of her in her dress. She took a picture quickly and sent it to him. Little did she know, two minutes later the picture would on twitter with thousands of comments all ready.
Helen finally arrived. When she stepped into the room everyone turned around to admire her dark hair curled on her shoulder and her beautiful red gown. She smiled a little embarrassed by all the attention she got. Helen and Mae hugged and complemented each other. They held hands to the car that was supposed to take them to the Prom. The night was about to begin.

The room was decorated to the theme of this year, winter. It looked a bit like the Harry Potter’s dance in the fourth movie. White fake snow was lying on the ground by place. A stage was amanaged for any performer that was going to be there. Next to it, the DJ’s spot was placed. Everyone was looking wonderful. Blue, pink, green, lemon, purple gowns were present. Guys in tuxedos were walking and the luckiest had girls at their arm. Mae and Helen entered into the room and tried to make theirselves discret. Unfortunetly, Mae’s gown made the thing really complicated. The heads turned one by one to admire her walk in. She kept looking at the ground. She finally reached the table on which was all the food. She started talking with Helen and tried to look normal, but she could the looks on her.
Finally, the music started to play and the people started dancing instead of looking just at her. She found her friends into the crowd and danced with them until they announced they would eat. The food was delicious! Mae ate a lot especially that chicken of theirs. The supper came to an end and everyone got back to the dancing. As she danced and had a laugh with Helen and her friends she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and faced Alex again. She rolled her eyes to the sky and waited fo him to say something.
“You look stunning…” He said with a mixed cheeky and shy smile.
“Thanks, Harry bought me that dress! Isn’t he sweet?” She snapped as an answer to him.
“Yeah, well… I just wanted to tell you that…” He said.
“Well, that’s cool. Thanks.” She said sarcastically. She didn’t want to talk to him anymore and she could read in eyes that was not what he first meant to say.
She turned back to her friends. Helen asked her what he wanted.
“To tell me I was stunning” She air-quoted the sentence sarcastically. Helen laughed a bit and they both returned to dancing. After a moment, they both took a brief pause appart from the dance floor. They sat on a bench on the side and talked. They got interrupted by the DJ.
“Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome our first band of the night!”
A melody started to play. A melody full of memories. A melody she cherished. It was the song that started it all. All of her love story. Sparks Fly’s first note started to play. But on the stage, there were no blonde country singer standing, but just 4 British boys and a Irish blonde she knew so well. Just if she didn’t have enough, a hand laid on her shoulder. She turned around to see Eleanor, Danielle, Beth and Sophie. That night was just starting now. Mae was so astonish she couldn’t believe that happened in the last ten seconds
