Chapter 5: Auditions

(Chloe's POV)

Saturday morning, I set my bike outside the school and walked into the school gates while David followed suit and started walking beside me.

"Let's get to the Theater, Chlo," I heard my blonde friend say. I nodded silently as I grabbed my Keytar from it's case. He had his headphone set hung around his neck. We were in our costumes that we picked for this "Special occasion." David's outfit had a light gray formal button-up shirt with some gloves, he had black pants and some converse to go with it. I had about the same thing only my blouse was purple and my shoes were lavender.

"We look stupid," I said as we were walking towards the large building.

"Nah, we look awesomely stupid, you forgot to put the 'awesome' in there," David replied. I laughed at my friend's antics and walked into the theater.

I looked over to see my friends in their bogus costumes too. Sara had some gray jeans on and a light blue blouse like me. Syd had her normal black jeans and her dark blue blouse was unbuttoned with a cropped gray shirt underneath. She was wearing some short boots to go along with it. Patty had his long sleeve button-up red shirt that was unbuttoned and he had a orange shirt underneath. Brady had his long sleeve button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He also had some dark gray shorts and a pair of blue converse.

"We look so dumb," I groaned.

Syd laughed, "At least you can suffer with the rest of us."

"I don't really think that the judges care about appearance." David said

I shrugged and started to set up mics, since I was asked to help with set-up for the audition. 'I hope we don't have to perform for a tough crowd'

"God I'm so nervous," I heard David say.

"We're coming up after this band," I said calmly. To be honest, I was just about as nervous as David, but I kept my cool for now.

"Don't be nervous David. Six Odd Ravens will conquer all!" Brady said triumphantly.

"I forgot that's the name we all agreed on," Sara said with a sarcastic tone. I sighed. Hopefully they'd all save the crazy for the song we're gonna do for the audition.

"Guys, remember to keep the playing at a level amount. If we play too well. We might power up and people will know who we are." Everyone gave me content looks and nodded. We heard cheering and clapping as the band before us came backstage.

"Good luck, Losers," Two girls said as they passed by off the stage.

"Wasn't that Bella and Alex, from Kelsey's group?" Patty asked.

"They were with two other girls," Sara pointed out.

"Ignore it guys, we have an audition to nail," I said confidently.

"Now calling for their audition, Six Odd Ravens!" The announcer spoke. David looked as pale as a snowflake.

"It'll be fine, you'll do great," I said with a comforting smile. 'At least I hope it'll be fine'

(Syd's POV)

We all walked onto the stage and I announced what song we were playing, "So, we're gonna play Thanks for the memories by Fall out Boy," everyone cheered. Patty beat on the drums, and David plucked at his guitar. And we started the song.
