Link's POV
"You know how easy it felt to jump, Link? That's how desperate I was to get away. But like normal, you heal it. You make it feel better. You are a true gift to this world. My brother. And I love you. It seems too difficult now to jump. In reality, if I jumped, I would fall. But thanks to you, I wouldn't fall. I'd fly. You help me escape reality. Thanks Link."
I saw him smile for the first time in ages. It's great to see it again. Hear his voice. Things could be so different. He could still belong to Jessie. I could still belong to Christy. But after all this we are together. It's a tough situation. But once I win the kids back, we will both give them a life they truly deserve. Make the final part of their childhoods count. And throw Lily an amazing 18th birthday party. Their mother has never been quite right in the head. Always having to have things her way. And this is what all this is about. She filed a divorce because she wanted the kids to herself. She never loved me. Or else why would she accuse me of cheating? If she loved me, she would believe me. But that doesn't matter now. I have someone who really loves me. And I am proud. Rhett was right. It would've been so easy to jump over the bridge and be free. But I'm glad he didn't.
"C'mon Rhett. Let's get your stuff loaded into my car and then we'll go back to my house. We can put your house up for sale."
"Okay. Sounds good brother."
"I love you man."
"Me too."
