The morning's wind blew in as I took a sip of some of the blood my mom gave to me. The wind gave me chills as I start getting ready for school. School is shit but thankfully it's my last year, I mean I have a 4.0 GPA and all, but I just hated the concept of studying. I know it'd be harder to keep my grades up this year because of my shifting and hunger. Thankfully I only have four classes this year. I changed into a black shirt with some black ripped jeans and a red flannel sweater, I quickly grabbed my binder and left for school.

I parked my car in the parking lot as I sighed, the school is a two story building with bricks hiding the lockers and desks. Nolan starts laughing as he got out of the car. I looked at him oddly as I stepped out of the car. We then, walked into the school next to each other. Girls were staring at Nolan sexually making me feel uncomfortable, Nolan winked at one of the girls as I just mentally barf on the inside. Don't get me wrong he's handsome for these girls but I'm his sibling. Girls were whispering and saying how hot he was and other gross stuff but, he just smirks.

"Do you hear what these girls are saying about you?" I asked Nolan.

"Yes, and I'm going to fuck them." He says in a confident way. I rolled my eyes as I head to my locker. I open my locker and stuff my textbooks that I got during registration. I head to English class in room 302, I looked around the classroom which was all filled up except for this one seat next to this really good looking guy. I mentally shrug and sat next to him, the bell rings right as I sit down and the teacher comes in telling us what we're suppose to do this year.

"You're new?" The guy next to me asks. I nodded my head as he looked at me suspiciously. I glance at his worksheet to find that his name is Roman Godfrey. Godfrey, my mom is doing business with the family and we moved to this town just because of them. "Noel Laurent?" He repeats my name questioningly, I nodded my head as I look at my name on the worksheet. "You know this town is fucked up right?" I nodded as I took out a piece of paper to start on my essay.

"Maybe we could talk outside of class instead of talking in class, Godfrey?" He nodded his head as he ran his fingers through his hair. I focused back on my paper as I start to write about an imagery. The bell rings and I walk out of the school and onto the steps while I wait for my second class which is 3rd period history. The bell rings signaling second period started, Roman went over and sat next to me, he takes out a cigar and lights it up and holds it up at me. I looked at him in a revolting way and stick a piece of mint gum in my mouth. He shrugged and started smoking.

"So, what about this town?" I asked Roman.

"Did you know there was a murder last night?" I shook my head at Roman as I continue to chew on my gum.

"Well they found the body and the girl was a cheerleader from this school, her name was Brooke Bluebell." He said, he took another puff and continued, "Never knew her, everyone has been talking about it along with you, your brother, and this other kid name Peter, some kids think you guys were apart of her murder since you guys just came here." I shook my head and took out my phone.

"I don't get how this is important Roman." Roman shrugged as he threw his cigarette on the ground and stepped on it.

"You're new and you're already a suspect of a murder, maybe just be careful." Roman mumbled. He stood up and walked into the school to who knows where, and leaves me alone on the steps. I groaned and put on my headphones as I blasted The Neighbourhood and waited for 3rd Period to come.

History was hella boring nothing happened except for Nolan in my damn class flirting with all the girls, this girl named Shelly was in my class. She had bandages on her hands and she was like 7 foot tall. I talked to her, and gave her my number, everyone seemed to make fun of her so I casually told everyone to fuck off, so it was all good. I walked to the car with Nolan beside me and beside Nolan was a cheerleader who was clinging onto Nolan like a damn leech.

"Is she going home with us?" Nolan nodded her head and smirked at the girl next to her. I groaned and open the front seat, I entered and turned on the car engine, the sound of the Nolan and the slut kissing appalled me. They've only known each other for like a few hours and they're already making out. I turned on the radio just to cease the sound of the two couple kissing. I pressed on the gas pedal as the car moves toward our house. The thought of Roman keeps popping up in my mind. I have no idea what type of business my mom is doing with that family, but their son just told me that Nolan, this guy Peter, and me were suspects of the murder of a cheerleader; I find this absolutely ridiculous because we all just moved here and I don't know anyone in this creepy town. I pulled up into the house's garage and started to get out of the car. Nolan drags his girl up to his room, thankfully my room was downstairs so I didn't have to hear them having sex. I walked over to my room and threw my binder on my desk, I scroll through Instagram and tried to find people on the media, which was a pretty easy thing to do. I found Roman in an instant, his following is at 10.2k as of my following was private and only at 500. I laughed and looked at all the photos of him with girls, Roman was just like my brother, he was a whore and I'm used to those people, it's been running down the family, and somehow I wasn't affected by that gene. Someone starts knocking on my door as I found Peter's Instagram. I groaned and sit up, I charge my phone while telling the person to come in.

"Well darling, I need you to drink the blood I have for you in the fridge, and tell Nolan to get this slut out of my house by 6, the full moon is tonight and I don't want another dead human in this house." My mother uttered in a disgusted tone. I rolled my eyes and start getting changed into comfy clothes for the shift, which was a Walmart t-shirt and Walmart sweatpants. I tied my hair up and walked to the kitchen to take a drink of the blood my mother put out for me. It's all animal blood, I'm suppose to feed on human blood but after, I'd feel a lot of guilt and I'd hate everything. "Noel, you know you need to get human blood in your system, the hunger is going to get worse day by day."

"I know I can't do that to a human, I don't want to kill one mother, I'm killing animals and I fucking love animals." I indicate.

"You must make your heart steel sweet pea." Mother pat my back and left the house to who knows where until it was 6. I texted my brother to get the girl out of the house before 6 because of the shift. I grabbed a few ropes for myself just to get myself ready for the shift and threw it down in the basement. Once it hit 6 my mom bursts into the house and drags us both down to the basement. She handcuffed both of our wrists onto a sturdy pipe and tied a wire on our leg to some type of metal that connected with the tan wall. The basement was musty and there was only one light above our heads. The smell reeked of mold and everything felt damp and grey. Nolan starts to shift and the wire kept him in place, I could feel the wolf start to peak but I still controled it. I let out an animalistic growl but I still stuck as human form. My mother looked at me impressively as she took a sip of her water. I looked at Nolan who was stuck as a wolf.

"Okay I can obviously control myself right now, can you untie me mother?" She looked at me uncertainly but shrugged it off and uncuffed and untied me. "I'm going for a walk." I tell my mother, of course she doesn't listen to me so I just head off to wander Hemlock Grove. I felt proud that I could control my wolf on a full moon, but I can't when I'm angry, the wolf's feeling overpowers me and it has such an eerie feeling on me. I kept walking down the street until I stopped at a large open field. There was a tiny blue shed which was uncanny. I looked around to find Roman standing in the middle of the field look at the blue shed.

"So? What's up with the blue shed?" Roman shrugged and took out another cigar. "What's up with you and smoking?" I asked.

"Calms me down." He says. I nodded and looked at the blue shed. "Isn't that sad?" Roman queries.

"What do you mean?" I inquire skeptically.
