"Where's Roman?" I ask Olivia once she opens the door. 

Olivia looks at me sympathetically and smiled, "I'll lead you upstairs." She says as she walks upstairs, I look at Letha worriedly as she gave me a small smile, we followed Olivia's tail as she heads up to an attic upstairs. Olivia opens the door to the attic, and walks in, the room was pink, the environment felt a little musty. 

I sighed and walked over to unconscious Roman. 

Looking at him like this caused me to become weak. 

His mouth was slightly open as his eyes were closed, looking innocent as ever.

"What happened?" I manage to muster out.

"Drug overdose." Olivia replies as she stares out into the window. Roman had a small tube up his nose as he was dressed a light blue, pajama outfit.

So unlike his style. 

Tears started to cloud my eyes as I held onto Romans hand. Letha came over to me and hugged my stance.

Is he ever going to wake up? 

Norman said something to Olivia and they both walked out of the room leaving me with Letha and Roman.

Drug overdose? The last time I saw him was when he was high on the coke, I swallowed knowing how he had OD.

"I know what he overdose on." I told Letha as I swallowed my guilt.

"What?"

"He overdosed on coke, he came over my house saying he was ugly and all this stuff, and I told him he wasn't, and how he was the most handsome person I've met, then a few minutes later we both fell asleep. When I woke up, he wasn't there and I thought he must've went back home." A tear runs down my cheek as I noticed how I didn't check up on Roman today, "He's instead here in a coma, I should've checked up on him Letha." I tell her as I sobbed into her chest.

"Noel, it's not your fault that he overdosed on coke-"

"But he probably did more once he left my house, did I say something wrong to him Letha?" I ask her. Letha shakes her head as she hugs me.

"I bet you not, maybe something else was on his mind." I nodded at Letha's reply trying my best agree with her. "Roman doesn't have many friends, which is probably once of the reasons why he got into this."

"But I'm here." I mumbled, Letha nods and smiles.

"He will wakeup Noel, you just have to wait, and try to console him once he wakes up." I nod at Letha's suggestion as I went over to kiss Roman's forehead.

"I love you Roman." I tell him.

"It's time to go girls." Norman says, we both nodded as I kiss Roman's forehead. We walked out of the mansion and into Norman's car as he drove us both to his house. The car ride was extremely quiet with only the car engine's working. Once we got to Letha's house I greeted a goodbye and left with my car. I quickly went over to my house to grab some clothes for myself to sleep in when I go over Roman's mansion. Olivia texted me I could stay over for Roman if I wanted, and of course I said yes. 

I enter my house to find my mother sitting on the couch with a bottle of Vodka.

"Erie Pennsylvania, Eric Laurent." My mother states.

"What?"

"You're father is there, now get out of my face." My mother says as she throws the bottle of Vodka across the room shattering it.

"No. I'm not leaving. Why tell me after I turned into an Upir?" I ask my mother hoarsely.

"Because, I wanted the element of surprise, you were too weak, now you're strong enough to face his fucking ass. Now you can help with Dr. Pryce's experiments-"

"I'm not turning into a fucking lab rat!" I stated angrily.

"I can't tell you what to do, but Dr. Pryce needs you to save lives."

"Save lives my ass." I spat.

"I care for you darling but I need you to leave me alone." She says in a drunken state, I shook my head and ran upstairs as I grab a pair of clothes. 

What did she mean she cares for me? Does she actually care for me?

No. She's drunk.

I sighed and went downstairs to grab three bags of blood and a water bottle, I left the house and headed over to Roman's.
