"It's such a waste. I thought she was the most decent freshmen from the Architecture students. Turns out she's just one of those deceptive pretty faces."
Yoona cannot get that statement out of her head as she tries to focus on her module. It has been awhile since the acquaintance party incident happened but it seems like people have nothing amusing to talk about so they continue gossiping about her and the crap Jungkook told everyone that night.
She is supposed to be the victim, not the topic of everyone's gossip of the week. After all, it has been that jerk who decided to break the fake news to everyone just because he thought it would be something fun.
It wasn't pleasant.
The aftermath of his lies brought destruction to her once peaceful life. People who once smiled at her will now turn their heads away and start whispering to one another. She often got the looks of judgment from everyone and it's slowly crushing her.
It's tiring but she can't break down in front of them.
She has not experienced this kind of disaster in her life. She was an achiever at her former school and everyone was her friend. She did not do anything wrong and her guidance record is clean. She is even selected as the model student for several years! She did good so far until that night happened – and she keeps on wondering why it had to happen to her.
She rubs her eyes and sniffs quietly, thanking God that she picked the corner in the library where nobody can see her weep. Sadly, Shin Hye is not present to comfort her in one of the days when everyone has nothing to do but gossip as she has different class schedules due to her make-up classes.
"You're such a cry-baby." Hearing the familiar deep voice, Yoona lifts her head to see the intruder and she can't help but frown. "I'll take a seat here. Everyone's so noisy even though this is a library." He pulls the chair in front of her and Yoona can't help but glare at him, seeing that he invited himself to stay there.
"Last time I checked, we were not in good terms and your friends made it clear that I was just a toy for their enjoyment." She bitterly says as she watches him pull out his things as if everything between them is normal. "How can you be so ignorant? Just go find your friends and annoy them."
Yoona goes back to reading her module even though her tears are so close to falling once again. She is obviously having a bad day and that guy in front of her just made everything worse. When will she ever have her peaceful life back?
Yoongi notices that she's holding her highlighter way too tightly and she's biting her lips so hard he thinks that if she continues doing that, blood might seep through her lips. He knows that he's bothering her but he does not feel guilty for what has happened that night because he isn't the one who's involved in that plan.
Though, he must admit, he feels annoyance towards the girl because of his broken arrow and he felt that she got served for breaking his precious item.
"I'm not going to say sorry." Yoona looks at him in disbelief and her eyebrows furrow. How can he say that straight into her face?
