"Welcoming party for the freshmen of the Department of Engineering, Architecture, and Interior Design?" Yoona reads the announcement posted on their bulletin board and her eyebrows furrow. She knows that parties are frequent when you're in college but she didn't know that it'll be this... early.
They were on their way out of the building after a very hard quiz in their major when they noticed that a lot of people have gathered around the announcement board. After hearing the word 'party', Shin Hye did not bother pulling her towards the commotion and after knowing what it is all about, she's ecstatic.
"This will be fun, Yoong! It's going to be our first university party!" Shin Hye's excitement is written all over her face and Yoona cannot help but admire her friend for having such a raw emotion. "What should we wear? It's just a casual party but I can't help to get excited!"
Shin Hye literally squealed as she said those words, making Yoona emit a soft chuckle. She pulled Shin Hye out of the circle as more people are gathering to see what the announcement is all about.
"Don't they have... alcoholic drinks in that party?" Yoona asks. "My parents will not be delighted to let me go there if they have any." She is hesitating to go to the party because as of today, she has still gotten that 'culture shock' after moving from the province to the city. She is slowly adapting to the changes but... she doesn't think that she can handle a party this time.
Shin Hye laughs softly as the both of them walk out of the building.
"Oh come on, Yoong. Let yourself live! It's going to be more fun if you'll go." Shin Hye flashes her a soft smile, wanting her friend to finally agree with her. She knows that Yoona is still restricting herself from a lot of things now that they're in university and she wants to let the girl know that it's nice to break some rules sometimes.
Yoona shrugs as she hugs her drawing equipments closer to her chest.
"I'll see. Going to the party means that I won't be able to go home for the weekend." She quietly mutters. "As childish as it might sound, I actually want to see my family soon after all the stress this week has brought me."
Shin Hye nods her head twice to what the girl has stated. She knows of her close relationship with her family and she quite envies it since her parents are not home most of the times so it's not a big problem if she'll go to the party. She gently taps Yoona's arm and grins.
"Just tell me if you want to go, alright? I'll really be glad if you'll come with me. I don't have any close girl friends other than you!" Shin Hye crosses her arms in front of her chest, making Yoona laugh.
"If only you would not tell them that they're annoying, maybe you could have made a lot of friends." Yoona says in a matter-of-factly tone.
Shin Hye rolls her eyes as they continue to walk on the pathway.
"If only they would talk to me not because of wanting to get closer to Jimin, then maybe I'll agree to be friends with them."
