TROUBLE #16: How?

"Ah, I've been really bored lately." Jungkook says as they rest on the Students' Park. It has been a lazy afternoon since all they did was complete their requirements for various courses, which is something Jungkook hates to do. "Hoseok-hyung, just give up on your assignment and let's eat now. We're only waiting for you!"

Hoseok scratches his head using his pen as he tries to figure out his assignment for one course. Tomorrow's the deadline yet he's not so sure of his answers because he couldn't grasp the latest lesson.

"If only Yoona's around I wouldn't even have a hard time doing this!" He complains as he tries to solve the last number. Jungkook grumbles and rolls his eyes, when he suddenly sees a familiar figure walking towards the direction of the university cafeteria.

"Oi! Your dress isn't –" The guys look at Jungkook when he halts his sentence and he looks away from Yoona's direction. He tries to whistle to ease the awkwardness, and Namjoon can't help but chuckle softly  as he notices who the person he's about to tease is.

"You would have gotten into trouble if you did that, Kook." The older says and pats Jungkook's back. "Looks like you still got some conscience in you."

Jungkook immediately frowns after hearing what Namjoon has said. Truth to be told, he is so close to teasing Yoona but he suddenly recalls that they are not in good terms – well, they weren't were to begin with – and he struggles to stop himself. There were also instances when he almost blurts out some jokes about Yoona but he chooses to shut up; he wouldn't want to anger Yoona even more anyway.

"Why would I? She's not worth anything for me." He says in annoyance and glares at his friends who are looking at him mischievously. "What? I'm hungry! Let's get this over and eat."

"Let's just pretend that we didn't see Jungkook hesitating to tease Yoona and eat lunch at the school cafeteria where she's also enjoying her meal." Jin mocks Jungkook who almost hits his head and laughs loudly. "What? I heard that they have good meals today!"

"Why are you so hungover her?" Jungkook asks and leaves the boys to walk on his own. He cannot stand the continuous mockery of his friends since he doesn't want to admit that he's slightly affected by the prank that he did to the girl.

Jungkook isn't the one to say sorry. People around him still forgive him no matter what he does and even though he does not ask for their compassion, they still hung around him. It is the first time that when he did something wrong and someone couldn't even look at him in the eye anymore because of what he did.

Did he go overboard?

"Hey buddy, you didn't have to be so sensitive!" He goes back into reality when Taehyung slings his arm around his shoulders and they walk together. He notices his friends catching up and he can't help but frown.

"Why are girls so hard to please?" Jungkook complains, making Taehyung laugh. He just shakes his head: his friends will not understand him anyway because they're so fond of the girl who's always the subject of his jokes.

They enter the cafeteria and luckily, there aren't that much people because it's past lunchtime. As he looks around to search for a table, he stumbles upon the location of the doe-eyed girl who's busy laughing with her close friend. He glances away before she can even feel him staring at her and busies himself with the menu.

"Let's talk about what we want when we get a chair already." Jimin suggests and the guys agree. They can be a bit indecisive and chaotic when they try to order altogether causing delays to the other people so as much as possible, they let two persons buy for them after they decide what to eat.

As they walk to find a table, the guys wave at the people who they know. However, one person catches their attention and before they can even ignore her, a guy calls her.

"Yoong!" The guys all turn to look at Yoongi who's grinning cheekily towards Yoona's direction. They then see her smiling a bit – something they haven't seen her doing whenever they're around. "My arrow."

Her smile immediately falls and she rolls her eyes as hears Yoongi chuckle. The guys eyes are still bulging as they cannot believe what has just happened; how can Yoongi, the person who's the runner-up for hating Yoona the most, be the guy she interacts after the incident?

"You're so annoying. Get lost!" Yoona replies and Jimin did not miss the glint in her eyes as she looks at Yoongi, who's also smiling as if he just won the lottery. He cannot help but feel curious and jealous as Yoongi has managed to get close to Yoona who has been aloof towards them for the past few days.

"Let's talk later." Yoongi says and waves briefly at Yoona, before turning his attention towards his friends who are still in shock of what has happened. He laughs inwardly – he knows that the guys will be bombarding him with questions later but he's enjoying the moment of them being lost.

Jungkook is the first one to recover from the shock and immediately walks away from them with the excuse of finally finding a table. He does not know why he feels annoyed – maybe because it's Yoongi whom he can rely on when it comes to teasing Yoona. However, how can he be on good terms with her?

Just what on the world is happening?
