There was a sheepish look from Calam as Caitlin blatantly shivered in her denim shorts, t-shirt and a light coat.  No wonder Caitlin gave him a look that could kill.  It was obvious now that Caitlin thought they were going somewhere a bit more warmer and he had badly misread that a country break would be great.

Carefully the pair looked up at the foreboding dark clouds that literally looked ready to burst.  Both didn't like the look of it.  For Caitlin it was one of a surging anger and resentment of being caught out in the open as well as being on a break she didn't want to be on.  Whereas for Calam he knew he would get it both barrels if they got caught in the elements.

A few small drops sailed in the wind with Calam praying that they could make it to the pub in time.  There was that slight pause and despite the sky being grey and ready to burst like a water pipe, Calam thought that were going to escape it.  However a few large drops landed and then came the deluge came.

'Oh for feck's sake!'  Caitlin screamed as she pulled her hood over head.

'Okay, we'll just head back.'

Caitlin looked at Calam incredulously.  'It's not going to matter.  We are going to get soaked!'

'Well we can hardly head up to the pub drenched.'

'You're a ding dong, do you know that?'

'Look I'm sorry but I didn't expect the weather to be like this.'

'It's Wales, Cal.  It's always raining!  Why did I agree to come here with you?'

'I don't know, why did you?'   Calam snapped as he finally broke with his temper matching the elements that was hitting Calam and Caitlin.  'Because you've had a bloody gob on since we've come here!'

'Oh I don't know.  Maybe it's something about going somewhere were it wouldn't look out of place in Harry Potter.'

Calam threw his hands away in disgust as though he was a footballer being wrongly booked.  Nothing what he said or did was right with Caitlin.  The anger was surging through his veins so much that he temporally forgot that they were getting pissed on by the elements.

'OH!  I am going to need wringing out.'

Looking around Calam saw a barn across a nearby field that might offer a bit of a shelter until it subsided.

'Let's get over there.'

'What about my feet?  I'm only wearing flip flops!'

'Just jump on my back,' Calam snapped furiously.  The only reason why he was offering was because it was the decent thing to do.  'Well do you want to stand here getting soaked?'  he added after Caitlin paused.

Blowing hard, Caitlin jumped on Calam's back angry that she had allowed herself to be caught out in the elements and the fact that she needed Calam to help her.

'You best not drop me.'

'Don't tempt me.'

'What was that?'

'Stop moaning will yer,' Calam sighed as the sound of rain reverberated around the fields like an echo.

Racing across the fields, Caitlin resisted the urge to kick her heels in although she was tempted to crack Calam one as he stumbled.  In what seemed like half an hour but was three minutes they eventually managed to make it to the barn.

Glancing up it had seen better days as there were a few holes in the roof but on the whole they were covered even if Caitlin's hair clung to her face.  Rain was running down Calam's face as he saw that his trainers were ruined with his jeans looking like he had been on his stomach throughout the field.  Furthermore his jeans felt like an extra weight as the water weighed him down like an anchor.
