I mumble into my pillows as my phone vibrates under the sheets of my duvet. Rolling over I press the end call button, having little to no worries who could have called me at this ungodly hour; 10am. Thump, thump, thump.

"WHAT!" I yell into my pillow.

"Liam's here! Get up!" I roll my eyes and turn onto my back.

"Tell him to fuck off Mum I'm not in the mood." I aggressively throw my pillow against my door swinging it shut.

"Please could you let me just talk to her?" I hear a muffled deep cockney voice ask. I groan feeling my phone buzz under my pillow again. I open it up and look at my screen to see my best friend Harley calling. I yawn and sit up out of bed completely diverting my attention to my phone as I press the answer button.

"Hey bitch." I press the speaker mode and stretch on the end of my bed. I yawn and stand up adjusting my knickers.

"What's up, how was last night?" I roll me eyes at her sarcastic question and walk towards my window pulling the blinds open to let the light seep through into my bedroom.

"Why so sarcastic?" I snort turning to walk to my draws of T-shirts.

"I got a million texts from Liam asking where you were at 3am..."

"Oh my god." I pull open my draw and throw on a Pulp shirt to cover my exposed skin. "I swear he's been stalking me so much lately, it's annoying as fuck." I pick up my phone off of my bed and turn off speaker mode bringing the phone to my ear.

"Just tell him straight you're not looking for a relationship-"

"I have! It just doesn't sink into his stupid brain." I inspect my nails and walk to my window again. I look up to see a familiar half naked figure staring in my direction.

"I don't know then... Sorry." I smirk over at Damon in his window as he awkwardly tries to find a shirt on his floor. I wonder if he remembers me from last night.

"Hey I bet you can't guess who's back in town." I dart the conversation away from our topic. I hear Harley laugh on the other side of the phone.

"Let me guess... Albarn?"

"Ding ding ding." I snort and turn on my heels to start walking aimlessly around my room.

"I still can't believe he turned you down but as soon as you grew a pair of tits he tried to chat you up."

"I can't believe I even had a stupid crush on him, I guess everyone has that awful phase of liking someone dumb."

"Yeah, I mean I've dated so many mongs in the past, you've actually gotten luck in comparison." I roll my eyes and laugh at her. She wasn't lying. I hear a faint yell in the background of my phone and Harley sighing loudly.

"I've got to go babes, I'll text you, okay?"

"Sure, talk later."

"Bye, love you!"

"Love you!" I reply cheerfully and hang up. I throw my phone on my bed and place my hands on my hips. I look up and see Damon across the room throwing on a jumper glancing at me with a confused look on his face before leaving his bedroom. I roll my eyes at how silly and stupid he looked from across the road.

I yawn one last time and head downstairs into the kitchen to get some coffee. I pulled out a cup and press the button of the kettle to boil it. I turn around to see my mum and Paul sat at the table with a plate of toast and a newspaper. Paul has a cigarette in his hand.

"Constance, I understand you're comfortable around here but you could of at least put on some shorts before coming downstairs." I raise an eyebrow at mum. I get a spoon out the draw and tip a teaspoon of coffee into the mug.

"You have no one to impress anyway. Your idiot boyfriend drove away." Paul mumbles into his paper. I roll my eyes knowing full well if I said anything it would just fly over their heads.

The kettle finishes boiling and I pour the liquid into my mug, stirring it around.

"Why don't you want to see him anyway?" Mum asks. I put the spoon in the sink and look at mum holding her glasses under her eyes to give me 'I told you so' look. I pick up my mug.

I shrug, "he's kind of annoying." Mum rolls her eyes and turns away from me. I scoff and walk away to go back upstairs to get ready for the day.

I walk into my room taking a sip from my coffee and placing it on my windowsill. I press play on my CD player from where I had last left off and Cyndi Lauper's 'girls just want to have fun' starts to play mid-song. I pull a hand through my hair and go to my wardrobe picking out random pieces of clothing. (https://www.polyvore.com/untitled_54/set?id=231072137)

I took everything to the shower with me including a towel and some underwear. When I was finished in the shower I changed into my outfit, switching out my planned shoes with slippers for the day. I left my hair be and my face be too. I already have eyelash extensions in so I didn't really feel the need. Like Paul said; who do I have to impress anyway?

I quickly plugged my phone into the wall,  turned off my music and headed downstairs with my used mug. I placed my mug in the sink and went towards the cupboard to pull out a mini grab bag of rainbow drops. I heard feet come down the stairs.

Mum walks into the kitchen in her classic flared blue jeans and knitted jumper. She looks at me.

"Did you not want a proper breakfast sweetie?" She asks staring at me funny. I furrow my eyebrows and shake my head.

"I'm good mum, it's midday in an hour, no point." She shrugs and walks away to the kettle switching it out.

"We're going out tonight by the way." She says after a long pause.

"Oh cool, where to?" I pour the rest of the rainbow drops into my gob and throw the packet in the bin.

She looks over at me. "By we I mean all of us, Connie." I groan.

"Mum I have plans to go out with Harley tonight." I lie.

"You went out yesterday, don't tell me you've planned another silly night stringing boys along." She pours water into her mug where she had put in a Lipton tea bag.

"I'm 18 I can go out if I want, besides it's a gig I don't want to miss it." She places her hands on her hips and sighs.

"You're coming out to dinner with us and then you can go out okay, but remember your keys this time, Connie. I don't want to expect a silly 4am call telling me you can't get in." I smile and nod.

"Thank you!" I giggle.

I turn and run up the stairs.
