"Pint of Carlsberg please." I hand the bartender a note.
"Connie!"
"What Damon?" I roll my eyes at him taking the pint and change from the bartender. I walk and stand facing the front of the stage.
"You alright?" I give him the side eyes and take a sip from my beer.
"Of course I am, just fucking pissed off it's like I'm being stalked!" I pass Damon the beer and pull my phone out pulling up the texts between Liam and I. I take my beer back and hand my phone to him instead. I gulp down some more beer.
Damon shakes his head using the phone pad to scroll through Liam's breakdown. "It's like he's so in love with you." I snatch my phone back and close it.
"And I don't fucking know why!" I grunt putting my phone back into my pocket. "Honestly you sleep with someone a couple times and they're suddenly attached to you-"
"Wait, wait... You slept with him?" Damon looks down on my like he was telling me off. I look up at him annoyed.
"Sorry dad!" I shake my head. "You don't exactly know me Damon and I don't exactly think you ever will."
"Whatever, Connie. You don't have to be such a brat I'm just looking out for you." He quietly replies in his deep voice whilst looking out towards the audience dancing around crazily. I shoot angry eyes at him.
"What and you were looking out for me in school?!" I raise my voice. Damon doesn't budge trying to make himself seem un-phased. "You were looking out for me when you embarrassed me on the bus?! Or that time you decided to tell everyone I had daddy issues?! OH OR THAT-"
"CONNIE! Why are you still holding a grudge with me after all these years?!" He snaps at me.
I flare my nostrils and pierce my lips together wanting to tell him a million reasons why I was disgusted with his behaviour to me when I was younger. Instead of rambling on a simple "Because!" only escaped through my lips. Out of complete rage I chug down the rest of my drink, throwing it on the ground. I huff and pull my coat off exposing my bare shoulders and throw my coat into Damon's arms before marching off into the crowd. I didn't expect him to follow me, I was mad, people don't tend to follow me when I'm mad.
I walk right into where the live crowd was, getting myself pretty close to the stage. Why would I let two silly boys ruin my night when I'm at the concert watching one of my favourite bands. As the lights turn down, lively guitars start to play in my ears. The crowd unintentionally making me jump up and down crazily. I accidentally bump shoulders with a couple people as I let my drunk state of mind completely wipe out my inhibitions.
"You spun my natural emotions
you make me feel I'm dirt
and I'm hurt." I dance, singing along to the lyrics."Ever fallen in love with someone?
ever fallen in love?
in love with someone
ever fallen in love?
in love with someone
you shouldn't've fallen in love with."After walking off I enjoyed myself so much more. No stupid boys yelling at me or getting in my hair. It was just me and the music. The end of the gig was finished up by 'What do I get?' It was a nice end to the night, but it also meant I had to face to rest of reality.
All the lights turn on and the crowd start moving backwards toward the exit. I had to somehow find that stupid boy now. I walk around the area a bit looking on the ground I ended up finding a guitar pick in a beer puddle. Kind of gross but a nice little reminder from tonight.
I walk out of the shuffling crowd to the spot where I had last left Damon. There wasn't any sign of his blond hair or my vibrant coat. I continued to look around with wobbly vision until I found myself outside in the cold holding my shoulders. I spin around watching a crowd of girls screaming and running towards a larger group of girls. I could see them holding up their cameras and phones setting off their flashes trying to get a glimpse of the person they were surrounding.
