I boringly stare at the TV. It had been a couple days and all I had done is watch Christmas movies on repeat. I think I'm going crazy watching all these characters fall in and out of love.
"Honey are you just going to sit there?"
"Yeah." I bluntly reply playing with my fingers in my lap.
"Well could you at least go deliver the Christmas presents to next door?" Mum walks in pulling a hand through her hair.
"Why can't you do it?" She sighs and takes the remote from the sofa, pausing my movie.
"Because you're part of this family and while Paul and I have been working you have been sat here for two days straight. I groan and lean back on the sofa.
"It's Christmas give me a break!" I yawn and cover my face.
"Please." She finally says, "They're in the red bag by the door." I grumpily get off the sofa and go to the front door. It was a massive bag. How much did mum buy them, honestly? I roll my eyes and pull on a cardigan and some sandals not too stressed over being cold. I grab my keys and the bag and leave without saying goodbye. I somehow still wasn't cold despite it being almost snowing weather.
I knock on their door twice and it felt like forever before the door opened. I was expecting something more of a warmer greeting but instead I was greeted by a scruffy looking homeless man.
"Hi." The tired looking eyes bluntly breathe.
"You look... like shit." I scoff inspecting Damon. He was dressed in only pants and socks and was rocking a nice messy hair look. He blankly stares at me as it goes quiet. "ANYWAY, here are your families presents, mum bothered to buy, who the fuck knows why?" I put the bag down in his doorway.
Damon rubs one of his eyes tiredly, "because she loves us more." He cracks a weak smile starting to snicker to himself.
"Uh huh, bye!" I put my nose up walking backwards away from him. Just as I do I clumsily bump into someone. I twist around to notice this Justine girl jumping back startled. Her expression goes from surprise to suddenly a mix of anger and confusion.
"H-hi." She stutters to me. I lift the top of my lip looking back at Damon who was still stood in the same position as before, except this time looking rather cold in just his boxers. What the fuck is going on right now?
"Um, hi... Huh bye!" I turn on my feet walking away quickly. I look back on the couple noticing Justine angrily walking to Damon. I roll my eyes and unlock my door, stepping back home. I don't know what was up with them?
Damon's POV
"Are you fucking kidding me!" Justine says through gritted teeth pushing past me. I yawn and pull my hair back with my hands.
"What babe?" I follow her, she runs upstairs. When we get into my room she starts pacing around quickly. "What's wrong?" I ask sitting on my bed. She pulls her coat off violently throwing it on the ground.
"I-I don't understand! With her?! I thought she hated you!" I furrow my eyebrows confused. "Don't act stupid Damon!" She yells, startling me.
"I'm really confused, Justine you're going to have to give me more context here."
"Do you're going to pretend like she didn't just leave your house whilst you're half naked! Oh that's real nice, just lie to me-"
"What? She was dropping off some presents." I simply say.
"You're such a fat liar-"
A/N: Sorry it's short :) I hope you are all doing well
