I walked into school two days before the disaster happened. It was a normal day, everyone was acting like themselves. Just like everyday I'd meet Michael somewhere along the lockers and talk to him about his night and stuff. It wasn't exactly the life but it was better than two days from then.

"Michael!" I ran over to him and hugged him. Michael smiled at me and pulled out something out of his backpack. He held it behind his back.

"So you know how I told I'd trick out my controller?" I gasped.

"You actually did?!" Michael pulled it out from behind him and it was a rainbow controller.

"Oh my god Michael! That's amazing!" I yelled. He beamed at me with his adorable face.

"I know right! So I'll bring it over when I come over to your house.." I nodded and the bell rang and I ran to my first class, avoiding everyone. When I sat down in my first class, the announcements came on.

"We are going on lockdown. Please remain calm and listen to your teachers, this is not a drill." My teacher went to the door and locked it. He instructed everyone to sit in the back corner of the room. All I could think about was Michael and hoped he was okay. From our classroom, we could hear footsteps. From across the campus, I could hear a long shrill scream. The footsteps got fast now. They were running and I closed my eyes.

'Please go away..please go away..' The lights turned back on and the announcements came back on.

"Coast is clear. We will be calling your parents to pick you up." I sat up and got back in my seat.

'Free day?' After a few hours of sitting in complete silence, my dad picked me up.

"What was that all about?" I asked my dad as we walked to his car.

"They told us there was a man on your campus..he had all blue eyes and he was screaming." I felt timid and almost scared.

"I heard the scream.." I barely said to my dad. We got up to the car and I saw a familiar looking head through the window.

"Michael?" I opened the car door and he giggled.

"Hi!" I laughed and jumped next to him.

"Dad..why is Michael in your car?" My dad smiled at me and replied.

"Well I thought you'd like a buddy so after I got the call..I called Michael's mom's and asked." I looked at Michael, confused.

"I was totally fine with it!" Michael said.

"I was going to come over there anyways!" I laughed.

"Well I'm okay with it too." My dad turned on the radio and instantly the news story was about the man.

"Reports today say that a man that was claimed to be insane, ran into a high school in New Jersey. The police say he was probably drugged but scientists claim this was under influence of a different, more powerful substance." My dad changed the channel and sighed. Michael looked at me and just smiled as though nothing was wrong. I, of course, smiled back. I couldn't help but wonder.

'Under influence from a more powerful substance? What could be more powerful than a drug?' We got back to the house and almost like instinct, Michael and I jumped out of the car and sprinted to the door. I flung it open and threw my backpack. Michael did the same and we sprinted up to my room. Michael landed on the bed with a loud creak and I almost broke my bean bag from the impact.

"APOCALYPSE OF THE DAMNED!" Michael screamed and I pushed the CD into the slot.

"LEVEL 9!" I flicked to it with my black controller and Michael had connected his rainbow one.
