~Lauren~

I park at the local baseball park, taking in two parking but no one was here so who the hell cares? I slam my door shut, wanting to forget everything with some softball.

I climb over the fence, seeing as the gate was locked and landed on the fresh grass. Once on the field, I walk over to the storage house and fiddle with the lock, it'd open. Pssh, should lock this or someone could steal all your equipment. I roll my eyes at it but open the door, going inside and getting me a metal bat with a bag of softballs. I shut the door before going outside to the home plate, dropping the bag next to it. I grab a ball and got into position, knees bent, eyes forward, nice grip on bat and wait for it.

I threw the ball up and as it came down, I swung.

I love the sound of when the ball hits the bat.

I just love it.

It lands on the left side of the field, outside.

I could've easily catch that.

I made another couple of swings before I finally felt like I should take off my hoodie. I look around to see if anyone was around, clarifying that no one was, I took off my hoodie and threw it to the side, ignoring the fact it'll get dirty with the dirt. I rolled my sweats up to my knees, feeling the nice breeze cool me off.

I grab my bat again and got another ball, throwing the ball high in the air and I watch as it came down, swinging my bat and the ball fly over to the field. I grin to myself before dropping my bat again, running for first plate since I felt like it.

"She takes the first plate, runs to second, takes over third and runs over to home! She takes home the championships! Jauregui brings home the trophy! Ahhh! Hear the crowd as they start to cheer! Ahh! Jauregui! Jauregui! Jauregui!" I say to myself, fantasying one of those championships games and winning, it feels good to be home. I stood on the home plate, looking over the field with a giant smile on my face as I recall my games.

"And Jauregui does take it home."

I was startled out of my fanasty by that voice, turning around to see a guy with his fingers jammed into his pockets, a smirk on his face as he watches me. I took a step away from him as he got closer, grabbing my bat if he ever tries something.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I say cautiously as I glare at him, he steps closer to me and I observe him.

He has dark brown eyes, a buzz cut with a piercing on his left brow. A spider web is tattooed on his neck and he was wearing a grey sweater with jeans, showing off his underwear since it was lowered.

"Don't you remember me baby? I took you to the tattoo parlor and was there with you getting those tattoos." Then he comes forth and slams his lips onto mines. I gasp in shock before lifting the bat and swung it to his crotch. He yells in pain before goes into a heap onto the floor, clutching onto his parts.

"Fuck off man! I don't even know who the hell you are! Where did you take me?" I yell and raise my bat, ready to hit it with him again if he tries something.

"Johnny Tattoos, I'm Adam Edwin! Your boyfriend," He says and I scoff.

"Yeah right, but thank you! I got a lead now!" I yell before hurrying over to my car, forgetting about the balls and bat I left there but grab my hoodie instead.

I dust off the dirt from it then slip it over my head before jumping into my car, turning the car on I started off to my detective.

I should slow down, seriously.

But I'm way too happy to find out I got something now, where I got my tattoos and my so called 'boyfriend'.

I'm certainly looking him up.

I park into the lot before turning my car off, slamming the door I ran inside.

"Where's Dean?!" I scream to all the police people, they look at me weirdly before all pointing to his office.

I smile at them. "Thank you!" Before running over to his office, I slam open the door with a grin on my face as he looks up at me from his papers.

"Lauren? I haven't foun-"

"I got a lead!"

His eyes widened and he stands up, papers crunch and everything,

"You got a lead?"

"I got a lead!"

He believe me and nods, he runs around the room getting some stuff as I recalled to him what happen in the park and he ushers me out, I follow after him.

"I need someone looking up Adam Edwin and give me the directions to Johnny Tattoos! Now!" He yells and people started to work or type away at their computers.

A police guy came up to us and gave Dean some papers, me guessing it was the directions.

"Okay, thanks. Lauren get in the car, I'm going alone today!" Dean shouts out before making me leave the building and making me sit in his car, front seat yo.

He gets in next to me and starts the car before heading to our destination and I tried to figure out what all these stuff do.

"Lauren."

"What does this do?"

"Lauren."

"Hey, what does this button do?"

"Lauren."

"Can you call over officers with this?"

"Lauren, could you-"

"Look! I found the siren button!"

"Lauren!"

He turns off the sirens and I pout at him while he gives me a look.

"Sorry, first time being in the front seat of a police car." I say sheepishly and gave him a innocent smile.

He shakes his head at me but looks toward the road. "Okay, just stop touching buttons, alright?"

"Kay."

We sat in silence as he drives over to 'Johnny Tattoos' to where we are gonna investigate the guy that did my tattoos. Well, I'm not investigating, it's Dean and I'm just gonna sit there and watch.

His words, not mine.

When we arrive, he stop me from opening the door.

"Lauren, wait." He says and I turn to him. "Here, this is yours, temporary." And he hands me a gun. I look at it then at him.

"Why? Didn't I had my hands on another gun which the police says I'm the murderer so why give me a gun?" I say confuse as I look at him.

"For your protecction, for all we know, there could be someone looking for you." He says and urges the gun into my hands. I look at it wide eyed, woah now I'm armed?

"Yeah, about that, I gotta tell you about yesterday." I say to him as I tuck the gun in my sweats.

He narrows his eyes at me and leans forward. "Why? What happen?" He says and I just smile awkwardly.

"I'll tell you later. But I don't even know how to use a gun." I say and got out of the car with him. We walk toward the entrance and he opens the door for me, I walk in.

"I'll show you, come on." I follow him to the desk where a punked looking dude sat there, bored out of his mind.

"Your the owner here?" Dean asks him.

The guy nods.

Dean smirks as he shows him his badge, amusement clear in his eyes.

"Police, we have a few questions for you."
