"Hey, I'm gonna go get us some food. I'll be right back." Ryan says and I nodded, he smiles and jogs over to the gasoline station. He sits down on the side walk, bringing out his guitar and started to sing and play for money. I would've help him but he says to let my vocals rest for today. He's amazing, really. He knows that I can sing and I know that he can play guitar.

I walk to the park across the street and sit down on a bench, relaxing my legs from the long day of catching rides and walking.

It's been a month since I met Ryan at the river, and since I last saw Demi. Probably word got out that I was dead because they couldn't find my body, I also lost my gun in the river. We were about to cross the border to Georgia, I'm hoping we could hitch a ride with Normani's family.

It was dark, like really dark, like it was maybe midnight.

"Oye, tu." (Hey, you.) I look up at the voice, turning my head to look at the voice. A few feet away, a Latina girl, probably older then me by a few years, stood there with a few other people behind her laying around or sitting.

I tense up, glancing around my surrondings. I had a few escapes if they tried anything and I knew how to fight. Ryan seem to not notice these people as he was busy getting some money.

"Que?" (What?) I say and the girl motions with her finger to come over to her. I gulp, deciding to go over to her.

"Quieres algo de tomar?" (Want something to drink?) She asks me and I gave her a suspicous look but walk over to her slowly. Tattoos were inked on her skin, piercings and had street clothes on.

"No, gracias." (No, thank you.) I say and wave her off. She rolls her eyes but takes a seat on a bench, I stood near her.

"No te vamos hacer nada, me escucharon verdad?" (We are not going to do anything, you hear me right?) She says and a mumble of Spanish agreements were heard behind her.

"Don't worry kid, just sit down." She says and I didn't let my guard down but sat down anyways.

"Yeah," I murmur and look around. They were a gang, obviously.

"You want a cigar?" She asks me and I shake my head, shooting down her offer.

"Nah, I'm good and I had my fair share of those." I say and she chuckles, lighting up her cigar and taking a drag.

"Where yo- carajo!" She screams as a bullet rang out and it hits her shoulder. My eyes widened and I quickly went to her side.

"Mátalos!" (Kill them!) She screams at her gang, and grabs my hand, making me run with her.

I'm in the middle of a god damn gang war!

"Corre!" (Run!) She yells and I ran quickly with her but then more bullets were shot out. She was running behind me and then I heard her scream. I gasp, spunning around quickly to see her fall to the floor.

She was shot.

I fell to my knees beside her but she slaps me away. "Olvídate de mi! Corres, coño!" (Forget about me! Run, fuck!) She screams and so I did, I ran, looking back at her as I hide behind a car.

I felt my breath caught in my throat as she bleeds out, going limp on the street. She's dead.

"Jessie!" I heard someone hiss then someone grabs me by the shoulders, turning me around to face them. It was Ryan. Fear was in every fiber of my body as I looked at him.

"We have to go," He says and grabs my hand. He drags me with him out of the town and far away from the gang war. We stop running after a while and got a ride in a truck. I collapses into Ryan's emrace, tears started to soak his shirt.

"Sh-She was killed, she too-took the bullet for me." I sobbed into his shoulder. He hugs me tightly against him.

He cooes comfortaring words into my ears, letting me sob against him. "Sh-She lost her life for me," I whimper into his shoulder and he runs his fingers through my hair.

"I don't know if she lost it for you," He mumbles and I cried harder.

"She got killed and I don't even know her name." I say, whimpering softly.

He then makes me look at him and he moves my hair away from my face. I sniffle, looking at him.

"Hey, its gonna be okay. Your gonna be okay, we'll get over this soon." He says and I nod, whiping away my tears.

"Yeah, I guess so." I say and laid down next to him. He wraps his arms around me and I cuddle into his side.

Right now, I'm missing my girls more then ever.

I just hope I can be with them soon.
