"RUN!!" I screamed at Josh. It was right behind us. The black figure rose above Josh, claws extended, ready for the kill. "Oh shit." I whispered. Josh wasn't fast enough; he had to get away from the light. I picked up a rock and threw it at the street light nearest to Josh and the figure. I missed. "Dammit!" I thought as I picked up another rock and took aim. The crash of the glass against the street was deafening. I whirled around to look at Josh, but couldn't see where he went. All that was left was a trail of blood. I was too late. "NO!!" I screamed at the nothingness before me. The monster was everywhere, and the only escape was to avoid all light. Then I woke up fro that nightmare, afraid it was in my room.
