When i got home, i walk through the door and stopped in my tracks. My parents were sitting on the couch across from a strange looking man. They all looked over towards me in unison. "hey honey" my mother says to me. She hasn't noticed the book yet. "come sit with us:" she says. I look around the room nervously, "give me a minute" i say. I try to walk past them while hiding the book. "whats that son?" my father asked. *Fuck* i think. "It's a book." I say nervously. Of course, my dad, being the book-worm he is, asked "what book?" a look of pure interest on his face. I slowly pull the book from behind my back. "I got it at the library." I say quietly. My dad's face gets the color of snow. His eyes get wide and he looks over to my mother. my mother's mouth is wide open and her face is also very pale."what is that book?" the strange man asks my mother "an Heirloom" was all she said. My father gets up and stomps towards me, his face no longer white, but bright red with anger. "give it here" he says with a surprisingly calm voice. I put the book behind my back to keep it away from him. he wraps his arms around me and force-ably takes the book. "Now, come sit down?" it was more of a command than a question. I sit next to the strange man. "who are you?" I ask in a disgusted voice. I, Delta, am, the only way you can get away from the Monster" he says as he looks me dead in the eyes.
