Chapter 5

Yoongi let out a scream, that was in no way quiet. He backed up to the corner and cowered under his blankets. He let the top of his head peek out from the top of the blanket. If there was something we wanted to know so he could scream, maybe bite their face off. Who knows? In reality, he would probably cry but let's ignore that for now. Yoongi looked around for cracker. He spotted the small zebra across the room, how he got there, Yoongi has no idea. "Cracker gonna die, gotta save Cracker" Yoongi mumbled to himself.

Yoongi planned his rescue mission in his head. He was gonna fight all the monsters to get to his best friend and punch them all in their ugly faces. Yoongi took a deep breath and got ready to sprint. He jumped off the bed and ran towards Cracker, screaming the entirety of the trip across the room and back to his bed. Yoongi planted himself in the safety of his bed. "What happe-"

Jimin was cut off by Yoongi screaming and throwing a stress ball at him, hitting him in the face. "Oopsies" Jimin rolled his eyes.

"Why were you screaming," Jimin asked.

"Um," Yoongi started "Had a nightmare an it was scary and so I scream, an den Yoonie see Cracker an he was about to get eated by monsters. So Yoonie save him" Jimin walked over to sit next to Yoongi, he has researched about little space and all that, so he knew how to handle little Yoongi a bit better.

"That must have been scary, huh?" He asked. Yoongi nodded his head. "I could never do that, you're so brave" Yoongi looked over at Jimin.

"Yoonie brave?" Jimin nodded his head. "If Yoonie brave I no need nightlight" He yelled. Yoongi ran across the room and unplugged the nightlight, neglecting the room of all light. Yoongi let out a whimper as he tried to find his bed, not having any idea where he was in his room he screamed for Jimin. Jimin ran across the room to turn the light on.

Jimin scooped Yoongi into his arms, bringing him over to the bed. "Even the bravest need nightlights sometimes, did you know that?" Jimin felt Yoongi shake his head where it was shoved into the crook of his neck. Jimin set Yoongi on the bed, but he still refused to let go of Jimin. "I'm just going to plug your nightlight in" He tried reasoning. Jimin let out a small huff and Yoongi immediately released him.

"I'm sorry for making you mad" Yoongi whispered. Jimin shook his head and walked to the other side of the room to plug the nightlight into the wall and to turn the light off. When Jimin returned back to the bed Yoongi looked like he was about to cry.

"No no sweetheart, you didn't make me mad," Jimin said, making Yoongi blush from the pet name. He whispered a small 'really' and Jimin grabbed the pacifier off the desk and pressed it to the smaller boys lips, "Really" Yoongi opened his mouth and gently suckled on the pacifier. Jimin was about to leave to go to his room when Yoongi grabbed his wrist.

"Stay please," Yoongi said around the pacifier. After seeing the look of confusion on Jimin's face he spat out a random response, "Uhm- so Yoonie can uh- protect Jiminie from the monsters, yeah" He said, his words extremely muffled from both the pacifier and the zebra pressed to his face. Jimin gave him a warm smile

"Of course, I was just about to ask, I don't want to be eaten by scary monsters," Jimin said as he crawled into the bed alongside Yoongi.

"I'll punch them in their ugly face," Yoongi said, yawning

"My hero" Jimin whispered, seeing Yoongi's eyes slowly close. Jimin absentmindedly pulled Yoongi onto his chest. Yoongi giggled and wrapped his arms around Jimin's torso. Jimin could feel the stuffed zebra against his hip and slightly smiled. He placed a kiss on the top of Yoongi's head and whispered a small 'goodnight', before drifting off the sleep.
