"Hmm...It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be."
Mari says as we stand outside Buckingham Palace and watch the changing of the guards.
"It's a lot smaller than the Grayson Mansion,"
Finley adds while taking a sip of water and I look at them in awe.
"Does your family all live together in the mansion like they do in the palace?"
I ask and Mari and Fin both crack up.
"Are you kidding? No, our parents would kill each other. The ten of them have a love/hate relationship."
Finley says and I watch as the men dressed in bright red uniforms walk past us.
"Once my youngest uncle moved out my grandparents bought a tiny 500 sq foot house on this beautiful cliff overlooking the water and turned the mansion into a museum,"
Mari explains and the guards go back to their regular post.
"If you guys are princes why don't you have protection or bodyguards?"
The man of my dreams is the prince on a small island. Of course, I'm going to have questions.
"We do back at home because of the publicity mostly. But here no one really knows us. And besides...let's just say we have ways to protect ourselves."
Finley says and pats me on the back and pulls me close to his side.
"You're probably super famous on Bridgeport right now because you're seeing my cousin. There are cameras everywhere and word spreads quickly." Finley whispers into my ear.
"Come on guys let's go inside!"
Mari says and waves his arms in the air in excitement.
"Mari, we can't go inside. The queen is home." I try to let him down easy but that only makes him more excited.
"I know! The queen is a good friend of mine! Let's go!"
He grabs my arm and yanks me away from Finley.
"Mari you're crazy, You're going to get us killed!" Finley yells as he storms after us.
"No, watch!"
He goes up to a small side entrance in the gate protected by a royal guard.
"They're not going to believe that you know the queen, Mari," I tell him and he laughs.
"They don't have to." The guard looks at him and Mari holds up his wrist.
Finley finally catches up to us as the guard scans his arm with a strange device.
"Oh, Prince Marius! The queen has been expecting you." The guard says.
"Oh good! Tell your majesty it's quite early but I'll be back at dinner time with Prince Finley and my significant other." He says and The guard nods.
"I'll let our superiors know right now." He answers and walks away.
Mari then turns to us, Finley and I both had our mouths open in shock.
"What? She was my foreign relations and international politics tutor."
he shrugs and looks us over.
"Now come on, you can't meet the queen in those rags and Trafalgar square is right across the street." He says and starts skipping towards the square.
"He really is one of a kind huh," I mumble and Finley looks at me.
"Significant other huh?"
I give him a shove.
