(Mari POV)
Earlier that day...
"My love! It's been awhile since I last saw you,"
Logan says as he sits on a bench at Hyde Park. Waiting for my arrival.
"Why are you here?"
I ask, holding myself so I could keep steady, wishing Jamie was here. But he was right, this was something I had to do by myself.
"What? I travel half way across the globe to see your beautiful face and that's the hello I get?"
He spits out and I wince a little in his anger. He sees this and stands up, He's taller than me but not as tall as Hamie. He kisses me gently but I don't kiss him back.
"Really? We're going to be like that?"
Logan looks around and sees the crowds of people. Then decides against whatever torturous thing he was going to do to me.
"Why are you here? You broke up with me a month ago,"
I ask again and his face softens.
"And I've regretted it since Marius,"
he says and starts walking. I walk beside him but keep at a distance.
"I've missed you so much, I can't get you out of my head. So I came to tell you I'm sorry and to beg for you to come back to me." He says and I kick a small stone.
"No," I tell him with the strongest voice I could muster.
"I'm sorry,"
He says again and he sounds sincere but after being with Jamie I know it's a lie. Everything Logan says is a lie because if he really loved me he would have never done what he did.
"You raped me,"
I say angrily and he shushes me, looking around to make sure no one heard me.
"Rape is a strong word." He says,
"You raped me," I say again and he only rolls his eyes.
"Ah, It wasn't rape if we were dating," He says and lights a cigarette.
"So you're only sorry for breaking up with me? What?"
I was at a loss of words for how stupid he is.
"Yes, now are you going to take me back or what," He asks while inhaling the cigarette between his fingers.
"Again no. I'm in love with someone else. Someone who treats me a hell of a lot better in one month than you ever did in four years." I tell him straight up but he only scoffs,
"I know, It's all over the news tablets and gossip feeds on the island. Prince Marius and his American boy. I have to see pictures of you two holding hands, kissing, and going out on dates everywhere I go. It's annoying." He says and I sigh.
I'm sure the news would get wind of this too.
"I'm going back now. You're not giving me what I hoped for." I tell him and turn around.
The dark clouds were starting to linger and if I waited any longer I was going to miss my tube.
"He'll never love you like I did, I'm sure you've realized this by now." He says with a cocky smirk.
"I'll take his love over yours any day," I say and try to walk again but he just has to have the last word.
"I'm not sorry for what I did. You know you liked it. You're just too scared to admit it."
He says and I stop dead in my tracks, ice stabbing my heart.
"Meet me at my hotel tomorrow, or Jamie get's it instead of you."
