I lay back on my bed as I spoke,
"Welcome back. How was the trip to Australia?"
"It was great! But we had to watch out for a lot of poisonous insects though." Adaniel laugh.
"That's good. Glad to hear you made it back safely." I said.
"Thanks." She said.
The university that Adaniel attends to, Animals and Research department had a research trip to Australia. Adaniel was apart of the department for she loves animals.
"Oh Ryan called." Adaniel said.
"He did?" I ask.
"Yeah and you won't believe the reason why." She said.
"What's that?" I ask wrapping my hair around my finger.
"I think Ryan is in love." Adaniel squeal.
My body froze as I felt my heart skip a beat.
"Whaaa?... With who?" I ask.
"He didn't give me the full details, he only said that, they had made a promise and now he's afraid to confess to her." Adaniel said then continue,
"Isn't it sweet, our Ryan is in love with a girl. He sounded so helpless when he called, that I found it cute."
I felt my chest tightening.
(As I thought... Ryan have someone else in mind.... All I am to him is a friend, a childhood friend and that's all to it.)
I felt a lump in my throat.
"Niya are you there?" I heard Adaniel ask.
"Oh..yeah am okay. I have to go now." I quickly said.
"Okay. If you say so Niya." She said.
"Uh..uh." I said.
"Bye Niya." Adaniel said.
"Bye."
We both hung up. I toss the phone aside.
