Past Meets Present (1)

Chapter 17

I woke up with my head on Damon's shoulder as he drove and I yawned .
" We're almost there. " Damon said .
I nodded and crawled into the backseat where I changed into jeans , a tank top and a leather jacket in a flash. I got back to the front seat and sighed.
" Damon , what are we now ? " I asked .
" Whatever you want to be . " he said .
I stared out the window .
" Look , I like you . Alot and I want to be with you . " Damon said .
" I like you alot too. " I said .
Damon smiled .
We pulled into the Cullen's driveway and parked right by the house .
I got out and Damon put his arm around my waist securely . We walked up and I knew I didn't need to knock because they were right there in the living room .
I opened the door and they all got up and turned to us .

Emmett,Rosalie,Alice(Sees the future), Jasper(Controls Emotions) , Bella , Edward(Reads Minds), Esme,  and Carlisle

Everyone's mouthes dropped open when they saw Damon .
" Sydney ! " Rosalie said with a smile as she ran forward and hugged my tightly .
Rosalie , Emmett and Edward were my best friends I've known them longer then 60 years ! I didn't know the two new Cullens and Bella .
" Hello , Rose . " I said , returning her warm hug .
She was like another sister and I'd missed her.
Next was Emmett .
He pulled me into a bone - crushing hug .
" Emmy bear ! " I said , much to Emmett's roaring laughter .
Edward hugged me.
" How are you feeling ? " he asked .
" Better . " I said and Edward nodded .
" Hello , sweetheart . " Esme said , pulling me into another hug.
She was like my mother .
" Hello , Esme . I've missed you too . " I said , smiling .
Carlisle walkde up and hugged me too .
" Great to see you , you should come around more. " he said .
I nodded.
" Great to see you too . " I said .
Everyone was staring at Damon .
" SYDNEY'S GOT A BOYFRIEND ! " Emmett yelled , laughing .
I rolled my eyes .
" Actually ---" I started , but Damon cut me off .
" Yes , and I'm one lucky guy . " he said .
I turned back to look at him and he smiled. I smiled back and he squeezed my hand . It was strange . He was always so arrogant .
" Sydney , these are the newest members of our family , Jasper and Alice . " Carlisle said .
" HI ! I'm Alice and we're going to get along great . " she said , walking up to hug me .
" I'm Jasper , your emotions seem like they're going a thousand miles an hour . " he said .
I laughed .
" Sometimes they are . " I said and he smiled .
I heard someone clear thier throat .
" Sydney , this is Bella . Bella Swan , my girlfriend . Bella , this is Sydney Pierce , my best friend . " Edward said .
Bella smiled and shook my hand .
" Nice to meet you . " she said .
" Likewise . " I added .
I turned to Damon .
" This is Damon Salvatore ." I said .
Damon smiled .
" Hello , I'm sorry if I'm intrudeing , I just couldn't let her drive across the country alone . She drives like a maniac . " he said , laughing .
Everyone laughed and I rolled my eyes .
" We have to go get ready ! " Alice said .
" Ready ? " I asked .
"Yeah , Alice is throwing a graduation party . " Emmett explained .
" AWWW ! EDDY ! You didn't tell me you graduated AGAIN ! " I said laughing .
Edward smiled and I playfully punched him in the arm.
" You're coming right ? " Rose asked .
" I don't want to intrude . " I said .
" YOU'RE NOT ! " Alice , Edward , Emmett and Rose all yelled at once.
" Oh , alright then . " I said .
I turned to Damon.
" Be my date ?" I asked .
" Of course , Ms. Pierce . I'm suprised you had to ask . " he said , smirking .
I smiled .
" Alright . " I said .
" I'll go get the bags , Damon said .
I nodded .
" Oh , you two mind sharing a room ? We're renovating . " Esme asked .
" I don't know about that .... " Emmett and Edward said .
They were like my older brothers .
" It's fine ! Geez , I've got over 400 years on you two . " I said , rolling my eyes .
Rose and Jasper laughed .
" How old are you ? " asked Alice .
" Ummm... well .. I was born in Bulgaria in 1475 . But I'm forzen at 17 . " I said .
