Poppy's P.O.V

"Hartley no!" I yelled out loud followed by me bursting out in a string of giggles. I ran away from her as soon as she turned around with a handful of baking flour in her hands. It started off with us deciding to bake her dear mother a cake for her birthday today. It went great but someone would get handsy and they would get flour on the other person. Believe it or not folks, it was not me this time who was getting all touchy touchy.

While running away and also thinking deeply, I didn't notice that I was going to trip over a ruffled carpet that hasn't been straightened up and that's where I found myself about to face plant said carpet. I heard a worried yell and before I could mess up my beautiful face, my knight in shining armor had wrapped her arms around me as she pulled me back into her chest.

"When did you become such a cluts?" she asks against my neck and I giggled softly as I turned slightly before leaning up to press my lips against her soft ones. As soon as our lips grazed each other though, she brought her hand up and poured flour all over my head while then proceeding in bursting out with laughter.

I stood there with my hair fulled with all kinds of flour and eggs and what not that was in her hands. I huffed as I glared at her, watching as she rested her hands on her knees while she laughed. Slowly I felt a smile become apparent on my lips but I didn't want her to see yet, so I pretended to be deeply annoyed with her as I made sure she saw me rolling my eyes before I walked away from her. But not without giving her a kick in her knee, hearing her groan made my steps become more happier.

After spending over two hours in the shower and finally was able to remove flour from my luxurious hair, I had turned off the shower before stepping out and drying myself. While getting dressed, I giggled softly as I heard light knocking on my door.

Clearing my throat and making sure it sounded deeply annoyed, I spoke, "What is it?" I asked and I heard a sigh before the knocking ceased and after a couple of minutes, light stammering occurred, "

I--I--kind of figured out that well--you love your hair more then anything. I guess I just ruined that--Uh--you know if they sold your hair specifically, I could buy it fo--" that is when I busted out laughing while doing so, had opened the door and watched as a shocked face Hartley looks down at my laughing self.

The shocked look stayed on her face for a couple of minutes before she gave me a hard glare as she then was going to turn around but I quickly jumped onto her back, wrapping legs around her waist and my arms around her neck.

"You gotta admit--that was funny" I giggled into her ear as I slid my fingers through her short blonde hair and she snorted, "funny for a psychotic weirdo like you, yes" was her last words of the day because through out the day, she was being slapped upside the head by said psychotic weirdo.

3 & 1/2 Months Later

I sigh lightly as I was brought out from the funny/affectionate memory when everything was okay. When Hartley's mother was okay, when she would attend her classes every single day and not miss any of them. That was the love filled days and while months after has been love filled, it hasn't been the same.

She keeps saying that "she's fine" that I shouldn't worry but how could she say that while she's higher then mod-sun?

Finding out that Hartley was smoking weed last week got me in such a rage that--I didn't want to be around her. I didn't even want to look at her, so I left. I never thought that there would come a time where I left her in this time of need but---I just knew I had to because words would start pouring out like, how would her poor mother think? while she's basically in her sick bed at home?. I can't believe this girl is making me the responsible factor in this relationship.
