Chapter Six: I Can Die Happy

Shailene's POV

-First Day-

"Goodbye, Shae Shae! Goodbye, Big brudda!" Lea yells through the window as she waves her little hands good bye. "Bye, Lea! We'll miss you!" Theo and I both say at the same time.

Lea gives us one more of her sparkling smile before the car drove off. I wave my hand till the car reached the end of the road and disappeared. "Well, it's gonna be just us for the week!"

I turn my back to Theo who puts an oh-so-innocent face, "And why do you sound so happy?" He wears a big grin, "It's because I am happy. You have no idea how fun this will be."

I brush past him as I starts to go inside the house. "I have no idea what you call 'fun', but my fun is reading a book. You can do whatever you want."

Looking around the house, it was amazingly clean! All the dishes were washed, the floors were vacuumed, the beds were neatly made. Wow, good job, Shailene!  I tell myself. You have done what needs to be done!

Feeling accomplished, I head upstairs, and enters the guest room. I approach my suitcase that laid on the carpet floor at the corner of the room. Unzipping it, a set of five books was placed in the middle.

I grab Pushing The Limits, and threw it carelessly on the bed, making a "poof" sound at it's landing. The moment I comfortably placed myself on the bed, I heard a faint scream downstairs.

"...Ahh!.."

Hm?

".....Ahh!!..."

Theo?

"..AHHHHH!!!!!.."

I jump off the bed, infuriated. My feet scrambles to the floor and I rush downstairs. "Seriously, Theo? What do you freaking want?!"

I reach the living room and there he was. Apparently, Theo was on the couch, standing on it and looking like a really scared puppy. "What is it, Theo?! I'm trying to relax and I hear stupid screaming down here. STOP WASTING MY TIME YOU FREAKING POOP! NOW TELL ME WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SCREAMING?!"

My yelling made him even more scared but after a few seconds, he points towards the floor, "Th-Th-There's a  s-s-spider there.." If the table wasn't the James' family, I would've flipped it.

I didn't even wait a second to go right to where he pointed. Lemme tell you, the spider was tinier than a penny. Kneeling down, I slowly put the spider inside my hand. I open the door and carefully set it down on the floor. The spider scatters away within seconds.

Shutting the door and locking it, I turn to Theo with a complete full on glare. "I have never met a guy who can scream with such a high pitch. Never."

I take a deep breath in and then exhaled out. Making my way up the stairs,  Theo says, "Thank you!" A nerve popped inside my head when I felt the presence of his smirk as he said that sentence.

When I was so ready to read and relax, an idiot makes girly screams downstairs. I quicken my pace up the stairs and as soon as I entered inside the guest room, the place I'm suppose to stay in the summer while I babysit Lea, I shut the door behind me.
