Prologue

Who knew babysitting would lead me to my first love?

The very first day of summer, my job was to babysit my next door neighbor's baby girl, Lea, since the couple decided to go on a vacation. How crazy can they be to leave their five year old behind? Well, my parents did the same thing to me so that's one reason I accepted this job.

And just when I thought this will all be like the previous babysittings, I find myself opening a door to a half naked Theo James? Want to know something else that's crazy? He - the most popular guy in school - will be accompanying me this whole time.

I, Shailene Woodley, is about to have an eventful summer.

Who loves babysitting? I know I do! I've been doing it since I was eight and it has been my favorite hobby. Making those adorable faces smile was the best part.

        I babysat literally almost half of the kids that lived in Tulip City. It wasn't a big city like Los Angeles, it's more like a town. We have a population of one hundred thousand and everyone here was kind.

       Many people knew me because everytime someone moves to Tulip City, I was the first to meet and greet them. No, I don't like stand infront of the Tulip City sign board and watch the people who comes by. My parents are real estate agents.

       They basically help people move in, get a house, and do what real estates people do. But not quite. My mother and father travels around the country to tell new wives and husbands the perfect place to live - which likely means - is Tulip City.

      I don't exactly get why they are doing that but I guess our governor is trying to increase the population here. Tulip City has a low population, even back then. My parents were born here and I was too. But the numbers never quite changed.

      So whenever my parents got someone to move here, I'm the one that they introduce to. My mom boasted about how amazing I was to them and my dad, like the usual, nods his way. The wives and husbands always smiles after that. To summarize everything: All. Parents. Knew. Me.

       Due to that, many parents trusted me and I became famous. Well not exactly celebrity famous but babysitter famous! That's right folks, I was known for "The Big Momma".

       Since I was eight, my schedule was booked two months earlier, and even the summer! Yeah, I had time for school and homework but I didn't get to hang out with girls at my age. Not even go to the mall or text or even have atleast one boyfriend.

      Yep, that's me. I'm the girl who's been boyfriendless for seventeen freaking years. I might even break that record at the end of this summer, when I turn eighteen.

Or will something miraculous happen?
