Damara had woken up a few minutes ago. Roman was still sleeping when she was grabbing things to take a shower. She stopped and looked over at Roman. His hair was hanging over his eyes and his mouth was slightly open.
She could help but give him a small, soft kiss on his head. Her warm hands felt good on his cold skin. Roman shuffled a little and this caused her to move her hand back. She didn't want to wake him up. He looked so peaceful.
Damaras mother had left for work leaving Peter, Roman and her alone at the house. Peter had finished showering and it was Maras turn. Peter didn't say anything to her as he went to his room and quickly shut the door. Mara knew that Peter had some issues with people in his room. He hates people going through his things. But his room smelled of Sex. Lea was here.
She turned the shower on and let the hot water run over her body. She couldn't tell you how long she had been in there. Her mind was going all over the place. It was strange. Why did Mara tell him that story? Why did she tell him that she loves him? Did he mean it when he said he loved her back?
These questions kept going around her head while she tried to think of every possible outcome as to what was happening. Was she doing the right thing? Could Roman be the guy that she had wished for when she was little. Then she remembered...
Mara was eight when she made a wish. A wish that made her happy. She didn't know when it would come true but she was ready for whatever comes her way.
Her wish was for someone to love her. She even picked out what she wanted. Someone who was confidant. A man who had brown hair. Green eyes and a smile that made her feel like she owned the world. He would be rich. Have a nice house and be as different as she was. She wanted to feel like she was normal. She wanted someone completely different from her drunken father.
Roman.
That was the name that came to mind when she thought about it. That shinny silver nickel down the well made her dream come true.
Mara almost screamed when she felt arms wrap around her. Roman chuckled behind her and she sighed. He pressed his lips to her ear. "What are you thinking about?" He knew she was thinking about something when she had that face.
Her eyebrows would scrunch up along with her button nose. He loved that look. She looked adorable. "You." She says turning around. He raised an eyebrow.
"What about me?" He asked with a slight smile. She shrugged and pushed his now wet hair out of his face. Then placing her hands on his neck.
"How handsome you are." She says. He looked down at their feet. "How it's strange...that I wished for you." He looked up at her. Confused. What was she talking about? She read his mind and began. "When I was eight," She starts off and slowly brings him closer to her as her back hits the wall. "My father was thrown into jail. Beaten, bruised, humiliated, and then killed."
She pushed his hair back as his hands went down to her hips. "My mother told my brother and I. He cried for hours. But me?" Romans green eyes stared into hers. "I went to the well and I wished for a man who is nothing like my father. A man who was as different as me." The steam in the shower began to build up. It was slightly hard to see.
"Who did you wish for?" He asked and she smiled. Damara pulled her hair to the other side of her shoulder. She didn't want to scare him off.
"You." She muttered and Roman looked at her with a strange look in his eyes. Mara shut the water off and opened the door. But she was stopped.
