Chapter 8: Back in Black

"So do we just go behind them and attack them and-"

"No don't touch anything, just follow my lead" Harry hushed me as I walked right behind him.

We were going to a special 'weapon room' you can say, Harry thought it was a good idea to take a break from our training and run a little errand of his, currently it was day 5 and I was pooped! Never in my life have I worked out so hard. I probably have muscles I thought as I poked my stomach imagining I had a six-pack.

"This place is classified, if Captain Miller would find you here or even a trace of you here we'd be busted so don't-"

"Ooo what does this do?" I said as I grabbed a pretty fancy weapon and aimed it at Harry just to mess with him.

He turned around, "STOP! Put that down! It's not a toy!" He tried his best to compose himself, as he scolded me and grabbed onto the gun I was holding as he put it down where it belonged.

I looked at him shocked at his outburst, "Ok ok! Damn dude chill" I said as I brought my hands up in defense, "I just wanted to see what I did, I mean it looked pretty cool-"

"What did I say? Not to touch anything! That weapon is dangerous especially for you! You could've pressed a button and just killed me right off!" Harry was yelling at me, holding the bridge of his nose as he was about to pull his curls from his head exasperated by my impulsive actions.

"Guys Guys what's going on here?" This fine guy came up to us, and when I say fineee well let me tell ya! He was.

"Oh hi Dr. Collins, sorry for the ruckus we made here," Harry said as he glared at me, I crossed my arms and acted like I didn't hear a word he said.

"It's no problem really" Dr. Collins replied as he looked over at me with a smile, "oh you must be the latest addition to our family!" he said as he pulled out his hand for me to shake.

"My name is Dr. Collins but you can call me Alex sweet pea" he winked at me as I shook his hand, "I specialize in making all the secret weapons you see here," he said proudly.

"Ahem..." someone came behind him.

"Ah yes this is my assistant, Agent Walker" this cute guy with curly hair smiled at me. OMG Ma hormones! Why does everyone have to be so attractive here?! They made me feel like a potato compared to them.

"Hi I'm Kit, Kit Walker," he said as he came over and shook my hand, "and you must be..."

Before I could answer Harry butted in, "This is Mariana she's one of the newest Agents here. I recruited her personally for a classified mission we'll be working on" he introduced me to Dr. Collins and Agent Walker.

I raised my eyebrow at Harry, what was up with him today? He was getting overprotective and I didn't know if I liked it or weirded me out.

"You and your classified missions Agent H" Agent Walker laughed as he hit Harry's shoulder jokingly, Harry didn't move an inch and just glared at Kit.

"Why don't we show you our latest weaponry that we have for you Agent," Dr. Collins said as he tried to break the tension that was created between them.

"Ooo that sounds like fun!" I exclaimed as I made my way behind Alex aka Dr. Collins.

Harry's POV

"You know she's not supposed to be here," Kit said to me as we walked farther behind from Alex and Mariana.

"I know, I know, but no one has to say anything about this-"

"Oh really?" Kit glanced at me, "Remember the last time you tried to hide something from Captain Miller? That didn't end so well, did it?" He said now facing me gripping my shoulder.

"Look Kit, this isn't your problem right now, the girl is with me, I can handle the trouble"

"No you don't get it, she's not supposed to be here at all! The last time you let this happen... well you know how it ended..." he harshly whispered to me so as not to cause any suspicion from Mariana.

"I know, but it's either them or us," I said, and I knew he understood me as I saw a shift in his eyes as he let his hand fall from my shoulder.

"C'mon guys we don't have all day!" Mariana yelled at us making us end our conversation. She was leaning in a doorway waiting for us. She was just so sweet... What are you thinking Harry!

"Going!" Kit yelled as he smiled at Mariana, I just gave him a glare, if he opens his mouth about all of this then we're both screwed.

We arrived at Alex's office, or as he likes to call it his lab it was at the end of the room, where he likes to keep his latest inventions.

"So here we have it, ladies and gentlemen drumroll, please...This is only to be used in case of emergencies-" before Alex could finish his sentence an explosion occurred at the other end of the room. Debris fell everywhere around us as I tried to cover Mariana to protect her, everyone was crouching down to the floor. The roof of the building was collapsing we had to get out of here!

Mariana's POV

I felt the building tremble but I didn't have enough time to react to it as a loud explosion happened sending all of us to the ground, to say I was scared for my life was an understatement. I felt my body shielded by an arm as I was dragged out of the way from a pipe that was about to hit me.

I closed my eyes tight I didn't want to see any of this mess man! I just wanted to go home and wake up from this nightmare!

Then something happened, I don't know if it was my hyperactive imagination but I swear I was hearing ACDC!

Yup, it definitely was ACDC! Back in Black was playing through what I think were speakers?! I opened my eyes slowly as I looked to my side to see Harry crouched with an arm on my back then I looked up to see none other than FREAKING IRON MAN!!

WTF?

"WTF?!" I screamed, Why would Iron Man bomb the NYPD?  I am so confused!

"What is Iron Man doing here?!" I yelled out to anybody who would answer me as I tried to stand up but Harry was strong and was pulling me down, I turned to look at him as his eyes were pleading me to stay down.

I asked him this time, "Did you know about this? Iron Man is here!!" I said excitedly even though I was still confused why he would try to hurt the police.

"Just stay down Mari we don't know if he'll try to shoot you," he said exasperatedly.

I didn't listen to Harry this time as I finally stood up and pushed his arm off me, I was going to confront the legendary Iron Man.

A/N:
Ohhh What do you think about Mariana? She's turning balsy! What do you guys think of Harry's and Kit's little secret? It's actually gonna be very important later on guys, so watch out! I know it's been a while since the last update that's why Ima try to do 2 today Hope Y'all enjoy! And yes I'm adding Marvel Universe into this Fanfic it's gonna be a crazy story I tell ya!
