~~Phoebe's POV~~

We all stared at the rocker girl before us in shock. Her whole family were aware of the supernatural world. No wonder she was so comfortable around us. "Are they creatures or hunters?" Mason asked.

"Mason!" I hissed and he turned to me shocked. "Liam said one question, one question means one question." I stated as the boy realised his mistake and apologised. "Hey Lily I'm sorry to about before when I lost it at you."

She smiled and shook her head. "Don't worry about it, I would've done the same thing in your shoes." My eyes fasted to Theo as he regarded the girl with interest, a little to much interest for my liking.

"Back on track," I stated and looked at the sword Liam held as he continued to stare at Lily, like he recognised her or something. My jaguar isn't as jealous as she once was and I think it's because despite everything she doesn't feel as strongly towards Liam as she once did, and that worries me because her feelings are my own.

"I don't want anyone's pack," Theo said as he stood up and walked to the bars that separated us. He stood oddly close to my friend making me give Lily a look which she returned with a raised brow. "Or anyone's power. I just want to stay alive."

"Don't we all?" Lily asked causing Theo to become amused.

"Some more than others." He stated causing the girls lips to twitch in a somewhat smile.

"How do we know if we let you out you won't run?" I asked.

"Cause we aren't letting him out." Liam stated. "He's gonna tell us from in here." Theo's eyes fasted down to the sword.

"But I'm still gonna need some incentive." He replied causing Liam to turned his back, walked a couple of steps before stopping and unseating the sword. The look on all our faces, even Theo's, clearly spoke our astonishment.

"Are you seriously going to do it?" Lily voiced our thoughts as Liam turned and gripped the handle with both hands, pointy end facing down. Liam didn't speak just stared at Theo who stared back. Liam twisted the sword.

The blade shattered to pieces and they clattered to the ground. Lily met my eyes and she shook her head, not happy with the choice Liam made. It didn't go unnoticed by Theo who hid his. . . Pain? By clearing all emotion from his face.

"He's a Löwenmensch." Theo answered behind his intimidating wall as he crossed his arms and regarded us all with amused looks in his brown eyes.

"What the hell is a Löwenmensch?" Both Hayden and I asked confused.

"It's part wolf part lion," lily spoke as if we should've known.

"He was apart of the Ahnenerbe, Himmler's personal project to use the occult to win the war." Theo said and continued to tell the story.

~~Germany 1943~~

Douglas stood beside the vechial he'd ridden in to get to the valley and straightened his uniform as his men scoured the area for the rift. "Hauptmann," a soldier said as a greeting. "We should stay away. All of us we should stay away."

"You've seen them?" He asked as they started moving with the rest of the men.

"They- they came by storm. They rode horses," his voice was layered with fear and confusion as to what he'd seen. "They were unnatural." He finished with disgust.
